Libertarian Libra here.... I've never been able to submit to the left vs right way of thinking, and i find it especially annoying when political candidates act like professional wrestlers for the WWE.
The Right = regulate almost everything, enforce religious-based morality, endless war, and force people to sacrifice their paychecks to help pay for it all.
The Left = regulate absolutely everything, disallow self defense, disallow private property, welfare and state dependence, endless war, and force people to sacrifice their paychecks to help pay for it all.
I can't support either brand because it revolves around a government of theft and force in order to leech off the people, while telling us what we can or can't do.
If we have to have a government at all, it should only be there to protect the natural rights of its citizens when those natural rights are attacked.
But the only way we could have a good/efficient government looking out for us is if we only elect 'just the right people' into positions of power... And that requires a lot more faith than believing in a loving God to take care of us, honestly.
It's like theism vs atheism, people. Anarchy simply means a society without a (unaccountable)Central government.
People get anarchy mixed up with anomie.
Anomie is a state of lawlessness and normlessness. It occurs in one of two ways:
1. There are no rules in society or social mores (murder and rape are as legal as eating a donut).
2. There are so many rules people feel they have no choices (authoritarian government).
Anomie is the result more usually of the latter...too much government. The more rules, the more robotic people feel, the more likely they are to kill others or themselves. Anomie is contrasted with anarchy. Anarchy is voluntary government, and as such it is very limited where individual participants wish it to be limited.
