Some "Q-losophies" about real and spiritual GOD.
Recognition of the existence of God is obviously the first step toward any approach to him. "For whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him"(Hebrews 11:6). But this does not require an act of blind faith. "Ever since the creation of the world [God's] invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made" (Romans 1:20).
Regardless of the position we take toward evolution or special creation, as long as anything exists, we must ask for an explanation of why it is there. And that explanation ultimately will lead us to God.
There is, of course, much more to ask after that. Has God spoken to us?, Has he revealed anything to us about himself and his will beyond the little we can discern by our unaided reason? But the foundation is always the existence of God. Without that man will never understand himself, for we ourselves are contingent, we are created, we are not our own sufficient explanation any more than rocks or stars or planets are.
Man without God is a creature devoid of his true place as a created being. It does not exalt man to deny God, but it degrades man to do so because it is trying to make him something he cannot be. If we are created, if we are contingent, then it is for our own well-being to recognize our dependency.
It is a false freedom which is based on pretence. And in the end it is only the fool who says in his heart, "There is no God" (Psalm 14:1).

I wouldn't make a very convincing goth/hippie-goth as I would never get up early enough or set enough time aside to put on all the jewellery and dangly bits and bobs and paraphernalia that these guys normally wear. I 'd probably make an ok hippie though although I do like to shave my armpits and put on anti perspirant deodorant which might contravene some hippie code I dunno. The hair thing tho - no problem, I'd have dreadlocks within about a fortnight.
