To look at Paris's upbringing, and her choices, you have to look at it like that. People would say she's super lucky because she was raised in an environment of wealth and could never ask for more. (despite not having any earth placements, completely DEVOID of it...when i checked on astrotheme)
but there's aquas like Rene Russo, who have NO earth either, with Leo moon, and a watery chart (an awesome Saturn in Scorpio) married a long time to a Cancer sun man (dont know his chart)

I think that they either need water or earth. I checked astro theme for Paris Hilton too, though I really dislike astrotheme's inaccuracies sometimes.. I think she has plenty of pisces and libra planets too.
Astrotheme says she has a Sag rising, I am quite inclined to think it was cap rising, not sure about that..

^^ so true. I had a conversation about positive and negative thinking with me father earlier this week. And this came up.
The negativism is partly about being realistic. No one can or even should be positive all the damn time! It creates self-delusion, imo.
There's a usefulness in being 'negative'. there is nothing wrong with being positive, mind you, but know when to be. especially, if you are trying to accomplish something. being positive and only wanting to see and accept the nice and bright side of life, is delusion. It's avoiding, denying and ignoring reality for what it is.
Once you know what you are up against, once you actually accept it, THEN i think it is ok to be positive in your outlook in order to achieve something.

Rene Russo has similar chart to Paris Hilton, but they couldn't look more different! What do u think Rene's rising is? Leo? Paris Hilton has a slight angular face an fine features. Rene's are larger and a bit more rough..

seraph, you're sweet. no really, that is the kind of guy he is. everyone loves the guy. some people will create happiness wherever they go, he's one of those ppl. there are those kinds of caps out there! and of course full charts, houses aspects etc have their role. but don't lets be silly and strip capricornism of all cheer. our forum is graced by a very smart, level-headed and cheerful group. obviously it's not sunny 24/7 here. some of us revel in our cynicism. i think it's hilarious, and maybe because i understand it do i find comfort in it too.
i myself can have my more quiet and contemplative moments, but my chart is pretty laden with moody and heavy placements, imo. despite that more often than not... i'm happy person. not ALL caps i come across are a walk in the park. like i'd said... my bff can come off very cold, but her presence offers the security that things that should be done will be done.
i like the presence of my fellow caps. it's the security. yes you have that with any kindred sun sign, but specifically with caps it's the security in our stable emotions and the control of our composure.. even when we "let loose" there can be a degree of self-control in it.
...unless you are like me and you turn to your friend, bow and say "i am now in your hands. do not hold me accountable for myself for the rest of the night" then proceed to lose all recollection. allegedly that was me a couple weeks ago.

About 6 months into the relationship we were at the stage where we knew we loved each other and wanted to be together, he would have "liked" to move in together but couldnt afford to because he was working part time trying to find more hours and so lived at home.....this suited me as at that time I moved out of my mothers into my own flat. At that point I didnt want to rush into moving in together, I wanted to take some time to live independently rather than going straight from mums to living with a guy lol. Anyways another 6 months passed and time to re-evaluate...we talked about moving intogether but at that point his family was going through some hard times including financial....so he didnt feel he could abandon them at that time (they have supported him at other times). A few months more passed and he is in full time work (and his family's situation has improved) but he hates his job- it messes with his body clock, dangerous, we hardly see each other, not finicially worth the effort it involves....thus causing him stress and us to bicker a lot over stupid things. We planned to move intogether in a months time from then but end up having a stupid argument and breaking up for 2 months resulting in us not moving in together. We then get back together and are again thinking about the future.
Part of the problem has been that whilst in that job, we hardly see each other, and I have sort of delayed moving intogether as we'd be passing ships in the night and broken sleep from each other getting in. So I have said I'd rather move intogether when he changes job, but its taken ages and I know this stresses us both out.
Now he is about to get a job he will really enjoy. We will still work different shifts but see each other more often than we do now . Hopefully he will be less stressed and we will argue less. Yet I still feel a little unsure of the future....
I mean if he was someone who works 9-5 with no family baggage then we would have moved in over a year ago, we'd enjoy our free time etc and be moving further forward in our relationship. Even though I love him, his personal circumstances have really taken a toll on our relationship. Sometimes I feel like Im swimming up stream and wonder whether these are signs we're not right for each other....or am I just having moments of grass might be greener thoughts. Sorry this sounds so confusing, I am feeling very confused.

It's more like, after spending so much time together, we fall into the same patterns and there's nothing new. People tend to put in less effort over time, and after the whole honeymoon phase ends, I start picking apart whats wrong in the relationship. I get irritated easier at this repetitive behavior and I start to crave the intense feelings I had before. This also causes my mind to wander to other guys and thus, I lose even more interest in the one I'm with now.
I guess when it comes down to it, the main reason is the loss of intense feelings after the honeymoon phase.

Like I could find someone who is more similar to me in terms of work and life style etc, but I may not find the connection and spark that I have with this man. I know relationships are not supposed to be easy....and us as a couple comes easy....its just the other life stuff that isnt, and that does have a knock on effect on us. But where do you draw the line?
I suppose I could do with some examples of relationships that have either required a bit of patience/ work and lasted a long time, or not. My head and my heart are not on the same page right now. As much as I think we could have a great life together, the world doesnt seem to want to make it easy for us!

....and I know that the world can make life easy....a lot of things in life have gone my way 
over the last few years, yet my relationship with this man...well he doesnt seem to have any luck in his own life. I guess I am used to putting effort in and getting results....where as this relationship isnt keeping up with my expectations. Yet I love this person and want to be with them. Argh!!!
