Horrible advice! Typically in normal circumstances, you want to get to know someone and BE friends in order for things to flourish. To tell her to go ice cold..bad move on her part for listening to you. He'll find someone else to be friends with.

Woodenmeow, I would say to your friend to let things be and she should continue being his friend. He's probably on the rebound and is hurting (depends who ended the relationship and how long he was in a relationship for) so probably cannot offer much at this time anyway and when he is ready he can reach out to herclick to expand
He asked for a friend and only got absence in return.. that hurts trust me. You should have stayed and talk through it or just be there at least. Knowing you didn't leave was the important bit here. He'll retreat and evaluate what he wants from you, since the flirting didn't come from nowhere.. new developments need to be taken into account.
Since you were friends for 10 years, you'll go back to that but no more. He saw how she reacted to his request, he won't try that again any time soon.
There's a difference between friendship that flourishes and the mindset we get when it involves 'do I want to date this person'. It's a fresh start mentally, we evaluate everything again with a new set of parameters. The 10 years friendship will make this a short process, but it is NOT the same thing a friendship and partnership.

Moon-40% % Virgo or Libra (not what I would have expected)
Mercury-40% Cancer or Capricorn
Venus-20% Aquaruis(most placed Venus) 32% Cancer or Pisces
Mars-32% Capricorn or Pisces (You go Mars in Pisces!)(honorable mention to 24% Cancer or Leo)
If I were to give a 100% for each placement sun=100% , moon=100% , etc. summing up to 500% and any sign that shares first place in desirable placement for winner having only 50% of that placement it would show that.

Aquarius=150%
Cancer=50%
Virgo=50%
Libra=50%
Pisces=50%
Thus, the most desirable placements for the planets that I would presume matter would be to have them either in:
Capricorn=150%
or
Aquarius=150%

Especially if you know its the only thing that will affect them. That you could scream at them, call them names, do anything else to them...but the one thing that would hurt them as much as they hurt you is say personal things about them in public.

I remember once this guy on another forum posted this girls phone number all over the forum, like "for a good time call." He was such a douche. Even I wouldn't sink that low.
