People will hate you for diverse reasons, even for being to right.
I always worried about people's opinion but honestly, it never stop them to talk.
I did exclude some people and still have to exclude some. I try to stay away from trouble but I don't worry anymore.
If I say it doesnt hurt I'll be lying but I'll make it go away pretty fast. If they hate me why should I take their behavior serious?
Let them talk. The ones that matter to me is the ones I like.

People will talk if you're bad, and they'll talk if you're too good.
Sometimes they talk because it makes them feel better about themselves-- and that's just sad.
If I need to change something about myself, I'm not going to listen to people who tear me up behind my back-- they dgaf about me, anyway-- obviously.
I'll listen to "the ones that matter"-- they will tell me for my benefit; not theirs.

The dark does not hate the light. For why would it try so hard to possess it? But the light is stronger and will not be moved. As the sun lives and radiates its beams throughout the universe it is fixed and the dark is drawn to it. The light shall never be conquered and the dark must surrender so that there is nothing but love and peace.

The times that it really blows my mind is when it's STRONG. Like first impression strong. I meet them and instantly get a weirdo vibe off of them. There was a guy I met one time- immediately creeped out by him. Couldn't figure out why. He seemed nice, but something about him didn't sit right with me. Within a month, his crazy showed and the guy was a piece of work.
The only time this is a pain in the ass is when I pick up on something about someone and can't figure out WHY. Those are the ones that take awhile to pinpoint. Drives me crazy.
Couldn't figure the reason why I picked up weird vibes from certain coworkers who I have not witnessed any out of line behavior. Makes sense and kinda creeps me out pinpointing being right about them on what my intuition has been trying to say, thank you. I think you may have answered your own question as well, even if you do not witness any strange/shady behavior, a weird vibe can also say they like you, but in an entirely different, odd way portrayed and it's possibly to be in a negative context of hiding who they truly are.
