Yeah, it's something I miss about the South- you knew where you stood with people. If someone didn't like you, it was no mystery.
Here? People are so freaking fake, that it can be a shocker when you find out that they really don't like you. No need to be fake. You can be cordial and not have to pretend you're bff's because you're too cowardly to let someone know you don't like them.

Thanks Jess... I am in fact no longer trying to hold on (that was my mistake for a while and probably why we got to this point now) and I'm not trying to fix him hence my note about it being his journey to take. I guess my only recourse is to be here for him as he finds himself if he wants/ needs me to be (though he truly struggles with letting anyone help him) - it's times like these that I hate being an evolved scorp as I can see his beauty and in many ways what he needs to do to get there (been there done that) but he has to experience it on his own in his own time which just makes me sad yet also maybe hopeful of the possibility that our paths might cross again given that we are ending in a good place...

I just don't bother with fake people. I drop them as soon as they make it known. Nobody's got time for that shit. I'd rather use my time for people who deserve it, tbh.

I type this for myself when I was going through a breakup with a cappy girl. I posted on these forums talking about it over 2 months ago, and now I am feeling better, but not still over it in the sense that I can just walk up to her and be friends. For me, I always thought of pisces as someone who gets stronger from periods of despondency, so I wrote this to get my emotions out so I didnt avoid them and allow them to build up. I also showed it to a fellow piscean friend of mine who thought it was poetic. I stumbled across this thread and I think this will be a nice place to put it, that way if anyone else feel s the same about things as I do they can read it and share in the experience. I did edit it some, but not so much as to make it sound different from what it originally was. I hope y'all like it.

Think of all the fun you had with someone who made you happy...When you first met to when you two fell for each other.. Think of letting go, and let the nostalgia take over. And then think about where you are now, and where that person is now, what they could be doing. What they could be thinking.. And picture yourself dreaming with them.
Then, think of letting them go even though you don't want to. Not kicking and screaming, but gently letting them go, letting your emotions flow as they come. Letting that person go because the relationship is next to gone although you never meant it to be that way. Things were said and done by you both to cause the relationship to fall apart.

So long as we remember that the objective is to move on, we should look back at what we had with someone not resentfully that it had ended, but
