Hilarious message from ex
He called me yesterday afternoon but I was in the office and I told him I'll call him back later. After the office I went to see my brother and my godson, when he called again saying he won't have time in the evening (has dinner with friends). He seemed to be sad when I told him, I can't talk and will call him tomorrow.
Sent him a message apologizing for not having time but he did not answer.
The weirdness of the story is that it has been 8 months already when he told me he doesn't want to be with me anymore (he didn't want to have a long distance relationship) and now we're almost at the same stage when we broke up.

He knows that you'll jump for him, so you reassure him he has nothing to lose.

But really, I do not think it was blown out of proportion. It was silly and mundane, but I think the reasons for it were valid on both sides.
I think it really had more to do with the way that we respond to stimuli being completely different. More and more apparent now that he moved in.

1. One day: "Let's do this on xxx" - "Cool." (and here my friend is gemini, too)
2. On xxx, just two hours before the appointed time: 'I don't really feel like to going out... should I give her a call and cancel?' - then my friend calls me "hey, I don't think I can meet you today." - 'Excellent (inwardly)' "Ah, shame. Okay, see you another time?"
3. Two hours prior, me get bored and start having a change of mind: 'Hmmm I think I should've insisted we meet... should I give her a call and suggest?' - then my friends calls again "Hey, wanna come out just for quickly?"
4. We both decide to meet, say, see you in an hour
5. Arrive at least a half hour late. Both of us. Neither notices it, nor complains - "Oh, great. You're late, too? We should've said at 4:30, instead at 4?"
6. We were supposed to meet for quick, but then somehow end up spending the whole afternoon and evening together. Talking non stop. Jumping from one topic to another, and there is no consistency or whatever among the topics.
7. At the end of the day we say "Ahhh so much fun! Okay, see you on next xxx?" - "For sure!"
8. It does not happen on next xxx. Never.
9. And we go back to number 1. Set the meeting time at 3 this time expecting each of us understood it equal to 'see you at 3:30'
10. Then we appear at 4, because we knew we were going to late, so it was at 3 but actually that meant 3:30, so we could add extra a half hour there. And still things work out somehow...
