Interesting conversations? I miss those. I used to have them with a Scorpio girl - we liked each other, so we simply couldn't stop, scrutinizing our mutual interests for long hours.
However, with other people, I keep to myself. Conviction is often met disapproval, and I don't notice this because I am very engrossed in the subject. I wouldn't hold it against them, though. Different people, different ways.

I do attract Aquas but I don't necessarily find them attractive if it makes sense unless the moon or venus is in aquarius where there's more to work with *shrugs*

I agree with the majority, in that to attempt to get out of him some clues, will likely make him feel like you are prodding him, eventhough, it would be for good intentions.
I am curious why you have the need to know .... are you thinking he is being false with you? Is there something to be concerned about?
Perhaps, the best way to get him to talk is by being open-mouthed yourself .. lead him by example and maybe he will be more forthcoming.

Hmm-- I can see a lot of Capricorn and Aries in this personality type; especially regarding structure/accountability/perfectionism and knowledge-seeking (respectively).
Though, tbh, my personal knowledge of Aries is limited, and Aqua, non-existent-- but I found this:

I was raised by a Capricorn, and have several in my immediate family; it was a bit shocking to realize that not everyone was quite so trustworthy.
The only Aries I know well is an ISTJ and a genius (seriously)-- though she works in science (microbiology?), she is also talented, artistically (e.g. writing, drama).
Maybe this aspect is a reflection of Aquarius:
