i thought you said you werent investing any feelings in to this mr defense.
anyways...threads are being posted muy rapido! it use to take a good 10-15 minutes for a new thread to be shown in the front page
I've come to realize that the only way you don't invest feelings into someone is when they are no longer in the picture
cheers to that. you don't need her, keep your time open for someone who is worthy of itclick to expand

It takes two to tango, what mistakes have you made in past relationships, that you now regret?

IME, truly beautiful / sexy women are either:
1. Deeply insecure, and overcompensate by being Type A Super-Bitches that think they're too good for any man.
2. Vain as hell, and think they're too good for any man.
IOW: HIGH MAINTENANCE! And, not worth the bother.

So let me see if I understand.
Basically you're not reprimanding women who sleep with men too soon, you're just pointing out the fact that based on their decision to sleep with the man before she actually really knows who he is, & then complaining about him leaving & or being a jack ass? No?

err yeah, I don't get it either, TLS.
Hah Satori, neither do I. It has nothing to do with the OP at all, felt like writing so I did.
*shakes my head*
No reason what so ever...Foot-in-mouth syndrome.
I better shut my trap now.

I really don't know what to say to you, just dont push him to choose. Let it be his decision & his alone, so that when you all's relationship dont work out, atleast you'll be guilt free & he'll have a support system in his brother or any other member of his family. Trust & believe in your love and God & who knows, in the long run his family might learn to accept his relationship with you..welcome you. I honestly believe that one's future with a s/o should be built on clear grounds with family blessings & whatnot. But that's just my belief. Do what you see fit & good luck.
PS- if you really do belong together, nothing will ever stand in your way of togetherness..not even a disgruntled family member. This might be a "test" to your love if you believe in that sort of thing lol. I wish you all the best
I am guilt free... Im stepping aside for him to sort this out... (or not) It's just so tragic and somewhat shakesperean to me... lol... but I'm not going to ball my eyes out over this.. I'm crushed, no doubt about it... but I'm 33 years old, and so is he... this is high school shite.click to expand

@ Jahlia
Online translators do a terrible job in translating poetry, especially from a foreign language to English.
Do you take Spanish in school?

I was dealing with "limp handshake" () for a few hours and as I wrote before, I had to ponder the statement for a few minutes....
I guess when I read this I was thinking two things. First, that this "enemy within" is also referencing personal desires, needs and wants, not necessarily just insecurities or weak points in your character that can be easily exploited by others. But putting that aside, the second thing I thought of was what Seraph hinted to, which it this statement is talking about a way of thinking, a process that must occur every single day. A person doesn't suddenly just shift their way of thinking or stop "fighting" this enemy within--if at all.
In many ways (not all), the person you are is shaped by other people--what they think and say about you. For example, the reasons you think you are a good mother is because your children??s success, physical and mental well-being and personal feedback (or the feedback from others) reflect this or say that you are a good mother. Without this reflection or feedback how would you define what a "good mother" is or know you??ve achieved this goal? So, if other people have this much influence on how you view yourself, how easy would it be to get rid of the "enemy within"? This type of influence would also suggest that other people will always have an impact on you (or the ability to ???hurt?? you).
I understand the proverb was referring to enemies (or even strangers), but do we only struggle with the sh*t that our enemies try to throw at us?
