I think it's because men are afraid of having beautiful women stolen from them. It's not that great being pretty, you get bugged all the time every where you go. Try to dress down even when you go grocery shopping and still people are in your space.
No man wants to constantly be afraid of losing his woman but it requires a certain type to date only VERY good looking females. There is a chance that the BBD (Bigger, Better Deal) will come for her but you have to be prepared. If you aren't that's your problem. Step your game up and this shouldn't be an issue for you being secure.
To me it's about insecurity. Men fearing for their own coveted treasure. When you have an "average or less than average" female you don't have to worry about the world trying to steal your things. Not everyone is going to consider her pretty.
Being honest.
Any woman who allows herself to be regarded as an inanimate object to be "stolen" isn't worth dating.
I get what you mean about how hot women are pestered all the time by men wherever they go, but I gotta say the hot slut types don't do much for me.
1.) They have probably fucked 20 guys, and that's just nasty.
2.) They are probably diseased.
3.) They are mentally unstable
