Is a harem like a cult? Coz there are alot of them around and very hard to get out of such things. Its sort of like any group is a mini cult coz you got the group mentality thing happening where if the group/pack go you must go etcetc alot of group/peer/pack pressure to either dominant or submit to others in the group, if you not 'play along' or 'go thru the hoops' there are 'consquences'. Hell, all of society is like that when you step back and take a long hard look at things. You got clicks, social groups bookclubs, even institutions like hospitals, police, fireeys, ambulances, down to the clubs and then you have the individual groups like fitness groups and clubs, entertainment industry where they have their little groups. Its all group based, maybe some *need* in the psyche that people think they ought to have. arr I dont knoweh idk.

Well, what would you be fighting for? Someone who is hung-up on their ex and unwilling to try to make things work despite the distance? Doesn't sound like something to pursue right now, not that I am in favor of pursuing men at all.
I'd take it a step further and stop communicating with him for awhile. To me, clean breaks like that really show whether they can live without you or not. I don't want to be a side dish, you either want me or you don't.

I kind of disagree. If this guy was a dishonest A hole who lead her on & wasn't honest about things with his ex, then I'd feel it appropriate to tell her "screw him & leave him alone for good!"
BUT he was honest, so we have to give this guy some credit. Most guy wouldn't have been that honest. They would've just stop contacting you, no explanation & left you heartbroken & alone to figure out things yourself! Hell for a lot of women here on DXP that is their heartbreaking story!!
I think this guy truly did plan on starting new with you. But unfortunately, sometimes you don't realize just how much someone is NOT out of your system until they come back & you realize that damn, they still have a certain power/affect over you! And you'll really know until that moment actually comes
And that moment came. So this guy is kind of in a lose/lose. If he hadn't of told you & just disappeared w/o an explanation, he'd be an A hole & you'd probably guess that he either went back to his ex or got a new girl. But he DID tell you the truth, so again respect him for sparing you any further investment of yourself that you wanted to give him
Sometimes figuring out what you want is not that easy. Your ex is irresistible b/c although the relationship may not have worked out, there are still memories, history & a comfort-ability there. Then again, a new girl is irresistible too b/c everything is so fresh, new, innocent & pure, BUT that comfort-ability isn't there b/c you'll always be thinking "what if" about your ex lol
These kind of situations suck
Well I just recently lost my virginity, and it was mildly embarrassing because I felt it took about a good 45 minutes for it to actually happen... painful experience. We were talking about it the other day and he said the "process" actually took more like 2hrs.

Women allow their feelings for a man to override their common sense b/c although women are known as great listeners, we're really not all that great of listeners when it really matters! lol
We'll listen to a baby cry all day or our friends vent to us or be a counselor/listener for a man when he's being emotional on a rare occasion, but we suddenly lose our ears/common sense when a man shows you that he's not that into you. And oh God, it's even more cringe-worthy for me when I see that some of these guys are actually telling these women that they're not that interested & yet they pursue him with high expectations anyways!
Sometimes I just wanna shake ladies & be like wake up, if you're not that stupid then quit acting like it!
It's hard for me to differentiate between decan influences and the influences of placements/aspects...
But from what I can tell-
1st decan Virgos are the extra moral, trustworthy virgos. Almost too their detriment, like they're generally kind, considerate and more evolved than most human beings, so they get hurt and taken advantage of a lot. Very kind, open eyes.
2nd decan Virgos are more controlling, strong willed and assertive. They tend to remind me a bit of Capricorns, but that could be placements...They seem extra Virgo-ish to me, like more OCD, more neurotic, more perfection oriented.lol They make great bosses and mentors! Although not as moral and scrupulous as the other decans, in my experiences. Piercing gazes.
3rd decan Virgos are incredibly shy. Great artists, in my experiences. Can come across as eager to be liked or to please, which can be misconstrued as fake. There's something very Pisces-like about them. I can't quite put my finger on it, almost as if there's a sort of vulnerability they give off. They have puppy-like eyes. I could've sworn two 3rd decan Virgos I met were Taurus' with those eyes.lol
But from what I can tell-

Omg, I think I'll be in your shoes in a few more months. In my case, this guy was/is my first everything, but maybe since I'm older I now feel more "experienced" even though he's had limited experience before. Either way, I occasionally feel he's using me for practice so he can use his skills on others. Darn earth sign men!! Anyway, luckily for me, my heart has been broken by him before. He's gone coz he not meant to be and thats that. No use in crying over something that was and now longer is, move on and forget about him. Theres plenty of others out there just like that to play with. You get a choice of them being stupid or just plain stupid. Pick and choose which you prefer coz they are all the same. I wonder the same thing at times and I am trying to tell him to move on and get on with things coz its far more easier to happier that way. Its too bland being like this. Of people are going to use you, you just have understand that and move on. Thats just the way it is these days. Well not all people will only good friends wont but the others I wouldnt even bother. Go your own way, find your own time and befriend someone else coz it aint happening here.
