Yoga for weight loss

Im so out of shape running is something I don??t know if I could do right away, I use to love to run. But I cant climb a flight of stairs right now with out taking a break I figured yoga was a good start to get back into things? Any more advice? Where do I start I don??t want to over whelm my self and give up.
