I think if someone needs protection against their own wife, seek help. I don't want to walk through life looking at a map for directions.
I get it, but understand that it's about protecting yourself that 1 time so that you don't/won't ever have to doubt it!
In the real world, some women lie, some women cheat, some women make 1-night mistakes, some women won't tell the guy out of the fear of losing him, some women may have gotten pregnant before the marriage even took place and/or before she was ever committed to the guy, etc.
I get it. Always looking over your shoulder in paranoia gets old & takes the fun out of life/love. BUT being naive or accepting of the fact that these things can AND are happening is a bad move too

It's just weird though, we had like some really deep chats, she told me she liked me, we had a rare connection, she wanted to rely on me..etc.. then last week she was telling me she missed me and wanted to meet for dinner, then blam from out of nowhere I get this whole 'I'm sorry, I don't deserve you' line, then she phones to say she liked me but felt like she needed to be honest with before quickly changing the subject and now I've not heard from her since, everything she has said to me has made me fall for her and now this is tearing me apart. Life, eh?

A guy talks to a chick for a half hour or so, and the two exchange phone numbers.
He texts her, asks her out to dinner and she excitedly agrees.
