Pfft, don't believe it. He's going for comfort. Anyone who jumps into another relationship so shortly after a long term relationship is one to watch out for.
To top it off, he's a past cheater. I dunno how you could have fallen for an individual like that when you knew he cheated on his girlfriend. That's a deal breaker for most sane people, tbh.
It's one thing if they admit it later on down the road after your relationship was established, but you knew before any of that and he did it during the 3 years you were getting all moo eyed over him.
Find someone better. He's got to get through his post break up period AND deal with the fact that he's a fuck up. You don't drag that shit into new relationships. You fix it before you proceed with someone else.

Hi I have a Taurus daughter. I am a Libra mom. We butt heads A LOT. It's a constant battle. I am stubborn, she is hard headed, any tips/recommendations?
I have a Libra sister. We're very close, but soooo different. How is she able to coax me into doing what she wants? Simple. She offers 'appealing' suggestions without appearing as if she's telling me what to do on the surface.
Libras can be pushy, in a very subtle way. The goal is to 'sell' it to us, not to 'corner' us.
With some Bulls, sometimes you have to entice us with an idea.

I have a similar situation going on. This guy makes fun of me constantly at our martial arts class. He's got a very sarcastic & self deprecating sense of humor. He asked me out a couple times over the summer, but he came on kinda strong for me (physically) & I backed way off. He hasn't asked me out again since but he makes lil comments/jabs every now & then about me not contacting him or not wanting to go out with him again. Last week he asked for my info to friend me on facebook.
I guess my point in all of this is I think he may still be interested & maybe looking for me to make some sort of move to demonstrate that I'm interested & maybe ur guy is looking for the same. Maybe try asking him to do smtg one on one so u can talk & get to know each other more. Or even just try to engage him more the next time u r out with the group so u can get a better feel for what's up.
