Dear Caps, I am glad to see you tackle this topic. However, from my experience, that will probably make u unhappy, but its okay. I have seen the under excitement with my Cap guy. I bought him something from the brand that he likes and he just opened the gift and said I like it. It was very dry. Not that I wanted him to scream and shout NO, just say thank you, smile, make eye contact and say you appreciate the gift and thought. Don't act but realize that someone, who hopefully cares for you, took the time to get you something to your taste. In my case I wrapped the gift. Understand Caps, displaying gratitude DOES NOT make you fake and unkempt, it shows that you can acknowledge gratitude. Social graces has its place. It does not make you a sucker.
Thank you for putting that out there. It kind of goes along with what I was saying when I was told "I thought you'd show more excitement). Now I'm aware and I do say thank you and tell them how much it means to me, but I don't know if I always did in the
past.
I do make an effort later on to let them know I like it/use it/wear it, etc.
Even excitement at a casino is hard to display - and that involves winning money!!!
Like Capgirl said, only those that really know me can see how excited I am, even then.click to expand
