Credit Card Fraud
Any time you start a fight, you need to be prepared to finish it. Based solely upon what you've said, it doesn't sound like something that you'll be able to resolve "cleanly". There will be some casualties: reputations, friendships, etc. If you're concerned about how those will play out in the microcosm that is your world, you might want to focus your anger on your kickboxing class instead of spite or revenge.
That said, if the owners are good friends, I would relay the story to them for the simple fact that, if he stole from you, there's a 99.99% probability he's stolen from them, as well. Just preface it with something to the effect that you're not asking them to do anything, it's just that if your positions were reversed, you would want to know the character of the people in your employ.
Based on the text/vm from the girlfriend, you can safely assume she has already trashed your reputation in that bar, and with his assistance. I would nip that in the bud when I broached the topic with the owners. There's nothing to be gained by getting into a he said/she said, so just focus on the fact of his fraudulent signature for the charge on your card, his possession of the card, his possession of the wallet, the wallet's mysterious appearance at a location you did not visit that evening, etc.
Speaking as one of Karma's children, I assure you you'll receive no negative marks in her book for sharing your experience with the owners. Trying to get him fired would be overkill; I suspect he'll take care of that for you before too long, anyway.

I know I need to make some changes in my life, but I just don't know where to start... Actually, I do- I'm procrastinating. I need to get my CV up to date and look for an exciting new job.
And I have been doing bridesmaidenly duties and stuffs for the wedding and I guess it makes me miss the ex... or think about him more... or just feel a little lonely??
But enough of my moaning and groaning- I have a lot to be thankful for, so I should focus on that!

It's been an amazing but crazy-busy last few weeks. Hmm something for your brain to chew on? I have doubts DXP is the right place for this discussion but I'll toss it out there as a social experiment and just for conversation's sake.
Suppose you were involved in a program to go out and educate people in regards to bettering their own personal health. Mind you, the community you'll be helping is VERY under-served medically. The ratio of physicians to population is horrific (We're talking over 300k people). While we have other endeavors to train physicians to serve in this area, another aspect to improving the health of the community is to EDUCATE them and also empower them to take care of themselves from a preventative aspect.
Pick ONE of the following and tell me how YOU would do it.

If too far, that could have been why he changed. I'm sure he liked you and was into you at first, but if he realized he wanted to have someone close, to actually be able to deliver his affection physically and it was going to be difficult between you two, then I can understand why he backed off.
I know I would. I may want something strongly with someone I really like, but when reality hits, and I start feeling lonely , because I can't be with someone, touch the person, etc... then I back off.

A little of both. I attribute it to no self esteem being built. That's the root cause. So self esteem leads to no sense of responsibility which leads to poor judgement
