Thank you, but I have my kids and I've learned a lot about myself through the whole mess and am still learning. I also learned that I'm far stronger inside than I imagined. He didn't break me.

Well, since I'm not a prude and have an extremely active imagination and a love for expensive toys....I just took care of what I needed when I needed. Oh, and I got a divorce. He is also controlling and verbally abusive.

Good for you! A controlling and verbally abusive husband is a huge issue and no one deserves to be married to that. I don't want to be inappropriate but.....Congratulations on the divorce. You got your groove back!
Oh, I've been so happy and relieved to not be with him and living on my own. When people find out I got a divorce I hear the inevitable "I'm so sorry". Don't be sorry! It was a great decision and I don't regret it at all!
This song pretty much embodied our relationship towards the end. When he'd go into rages for hrs at a time I would ignore him as much as possible while blaring this full blast.

I hear ya! Or expensive champagne! I rarely get drunk and don't drink that often. When I do get drunk I'm a riot of giggling, laughing hysterically, singing and in general over the top happy nuts.

I DID feel kinda-sorta badly, though. He THREW a stack of files on my desk and squeezed my shoulder too hard when he seated me at my desk. I just switched my ipod to vintage heavy metal playlist and started mumbling along to "Heaven's On Fire."
