Im going to have to agree with you. The past two months have been a hugeee struggle. Gotta try and stick with some sense of optimism.

1st point you pretty much answered your own question and other? Maybe he goin too fast? Tell him to slow down (maybe YOUR nervous and not saying much? Which leads up to undesirable situations. I was ready to communicate lol I talk lots and do that even in the bedroom..I'm all about communication if not anything else.. Exactly. Though..I must add : Heart is a muscle. We, Taurus people, use it often. Everytime we use it, it grows bigger. Hence, the chances of getting hurt grow exponentially. Yes. We do learn from past mistakes, but we do end up making new ones. All because of what was mentioned before: We know we are strong and can come back from anything, and that makes us love unconditionally. Everytime we come back loving more...giving more and we run the risk of getting hurt more. Does that stop us? Heck no!
Humans would be worse. They could keep you alive for weeks and slowly torture, dehydrate, starve, and inflict pain on you.
Wolves would last a few minutes at most. They'd go for the neck first and you'd bleed out. It's be a horrible couple of minutes. You'd hear your bones crack, smelling your own blood, and feeling it's warmth on your skin. You'd probably also smell and feel the wolves warm breath and teeth but it would be over quickly. A few minutes of fear and then peace.
At least a wolf is killing you out of instinct and for food and survival.
Humans are just crazy and twisted.

My friend doesn't have a relationship with his mother...never did. Was raised by his father. Red Flag, especially since he has a Cancer Mars AND Taurus Sun, but I sometimes wonder if that's why he was attracted to me(older woman).
Don't have much relationship experience, but I don't think I could deal with someones mother. Not and overbearing mother. I get along with much older women, in general, but I couldn't take a woman sizing me up and trying to see if I'm a perfect fit for their son or not. Pretty sure I'd never make the cut. I think that's the biggest thing that would bother me.
A guy being close to his mom wouldn't irritate me at all. It's family. Just wouldn't want her to mingle tooooo much.
