I have scorpio rising (so does my aqua). I have been told that I unnerve people because I can see right past them into their soul. Not sure if that's true, but that's how it makes them feel. I do think I have good first impressions of people and those first impressions turn out to be pretty accurate. It's like I can see past their defense mechanisms and see the person underneath. It's like I know when they're putting on a false front to hide the hurt and I know when they're trying to "butter me up" to try to pull something on me. Car salesmen, beware!!!
Also, I've been told that I'm hard to get to know, that I seem unapproachable in the beginning. I'm not one to make fast friends (probably because of that), but when I do make friends, it's friends for life.
I tend to be cautious and suspicious of new people until I can get to know something about them. When I feel overly suspicious, it sends up red flags and I listen to that intuition. Some people, though, I don't feel suspicious about and those are the ones who turn out to be some pretty dern good folks.
