Flaws? Could you give more details about his flaws. You may be over looking some very important facts that most likely contributed to you wanting to take a break, why not accept that his flaws contributed to the break up. If he lacks boundaries that can create a lot of tension.

It??s always good to keep an open mind, but if you go out with someone just to have control over them= not get hurt, where will the love and passion be= the reasons why you are with someone in the first place?? (not that I haven??t thought about it myself)
Ha I know that feeling too. Wanting to just date the one person you know won't hurt you even though you may not feel the passion for them. I am in the predicament right now. But I just don't know if I could do it. I've dated a guy once where everything was perfect except the passion. And the lack of that one element can really shatter a relationship in the end. Things get boring (we are sags, we get bored easily) because there just isn't that spark. And in the end it just made the relationship feel dull. No matter how many things we did or how much we had in common I just couldn't get over how goofy he was. It made kissing him hard and when someone else came along who did bring out the passion in me everything just fell apart in the "perfect" relationship. It's just not worth it....

so cap and me are reaching the 5th of dating. things have gone great. he's been busy with work, but makes an effort to spend time w me.
so recently he invited me to his family party. and I asked if he was gng to intro me as gf or friend. he asked me what I wanted, so I said gf. then during the party he intro me as what I wanted, very fast attempt and I was happy.
this cap is rather superficial. he puts in so much effort to look good, spending much on clothes, etc. he has so much opinions on my dressing (eg. u should wear more colors, u should wear long dress, u should wear this/ perm ur hair, etc). while I tolerated, lately I just told him if he keeps expecting so much changes from it I can't do it. honestly speaking. I can't make myself change so much.
I have dated a couple of men earlier, this man is just so different.
do U think telling him how I really feel will push him away? he hasn't gotten angry before and seems to be able to tolerate rather well.
sometimes I think I need more affection but not sure if telling him is a good idea, reason being, he is not a very open communicator.
