PVJ, what are your friends' sun signs? The scorp moon ones because I'm impressed & a bit shocked. Personally I'd never do such a thing. My friend's enemies are hers & hers ALONE. I don't mix up in other people's drama. I fight alone & expect them to do the same. You have some really good folks there. Wow.
My friends are Pisces and Cap sun. My friends are protective of me, and I'm protective of them. Sad to hear others don't have good friends. I don't require that my friends make my enemies their enemies. Nor do I make my friends enemies my enemies for no reason. The point of the quote....which everyone seems to be missing...is that the person is saying they would not TRUST a friend who associates with their enemies. And I agree. Mostly for the reasons DonAmarat so eloquently stated. I find it hard to understand how someone can call themselves a friend, then go and smile and grin in the face of people who talk shit about you or wish you harm. But as I said, everyone's concept of friendship is different.
**CAN SOMEONE PLEASE QUOTE POST SO WC CAN READ LATER. I'M EXPECTING TO BE PERMANENTLY DELETED AT ANY MINUTE, BUT DUNCAN IS TAKING HIS SWEET TIME. GRR. **click to expand

You are currently using the internet which is provided to you through a plethora of other services and companies which my or may not include more people who are currently killing off the planet due to 'technology'.
Do you catch a bus to work? Do drive a car to work? Do you eat out? Where do you source your meat? Do you know where your crops come from. How are your clothes made? Where are your every day essentials manufactured? Everything we do in the modern world in some way is 'killing' the planet.
I'm as guilty as the rest of us in the modern world. Understanding that I cannot say it with such conviction as you are because I am part of the cycle. Is it true justification to veer towards path of the least harm or is that just slowing the process.
Anyway, It's not that I don't share your sentimentality I admire the passion because I cannot be as vocal about such issues as you.

Starlover, I also like to go Dutch.
I don't want men to expect sex for one dinner.
Call me old fashioned, but if I ask a woman out on a date, I think it's only proper that I pay.
Sex doesn't have anything to do with it-she's my guest.
Now I have gotten and appreciated offers to go Dutch while at dinner, but I decline.
If Dutch is proposed beforehand, sure.
I understand that. You would not ask a guest to bring his own food and drinks to your house, lol.. Hopefully. Although some Americans do!
So it is more of a matter of hospitality?click to expand
