Thanks little sparrow, you know I have tried through out the years to figure this out with him. He has been thoroughly resistent and has wanted to pin the responsibility on me. Maybe he's stinging a bit from the realization himself. I am going to try counseling next month.

I completely understand. They make you feel naked, emotionally. And they watch you with a little smile, as you expose yourself (emotionally), and soak it all up, and then they sit there in silence for a while, and very guardedly reveal like five seconds worth of intimate details about themselves, and leave you hungry for more. Every time. I think it's just going to take a lot of time spent with him. Try to spend as much time talking to him in a relaxed environment as you can. Not in a public place, maybe somewhere quiet and secluded with dim lighting so everything is very non-pressured.
