Maybe because you are a little more mature and experienced now after 3 years? Dating others you have nothing in common with might remind you of what you had. Could it be because now you have more to compare him to? Try not to dwell too much on that because that isn't something you can go back and change. What's done is done. All you can do is try to fix it.
