Yes, there are more secular peeps than there used to be, but it's still very very mormon. She loves the geography, etc. but hates the culture and is planning to move back to CA. She's lost jobs because a mormon needed her position, and she only moved there to take art from Jeff Heins. She's done with him, so now it's time to get back to where she fits in.

no. i have gone to a few fan faires for the games i was invovled with .. but never the cosplay. i went to gencon a few years back but i didn't dress up, had a ton of fun however.
My co-worker, who just recently got out of a relationship, was dating a guy who showered her with gifts, spending $ 50 on a necklaced once and they barely knew each other a month. He took her to the beach, the Renaissance Fair, and he paid for everything. She texted me telling me she felt bad that he keeps spending all that money on her. I told her that she was so used to paying for everything for her other boyfriend (who used to blatantly ask to borrow money from her and ask her to drive her places) and that maybe she should just enjoy it because she deserves kind treatment. I told her that, if she still feels uncomfortable, she can gently suggest that he let her pay once in a while. Anyway, she's moving out of state now, and he got upset because he thinks she is going to find another guy. She didn't feel like dealing with him so she dumped him. Now, he's invested all of that in her, and for what?
I don't feel comfortable taking things from people, but that was how I was raised. But I am aware that it IS a level of investment, and I don't want guys making an investment thinking it will lead to something more. Pisces guy dated a girl for TWO WEEKS and was already making her bed in breakfast until one day he walked in on her and her ex doing it in her bed! Just...no. Men. Embrace the friend-zone. Let the woman stand on her own so you can see her as an individual. When you pour so much into us, it goes to our heads. It honestly does.

I haven't put any expectations on him or the situation, but that's almost how it seems he feels by saying that...like he thinks I think he's the king of the world and he could never fill the shoes. So strange, because it's not like I lavish him with compliments or anything remotely close to it.
I haven't shown any interest at that time either!
I don't think when they said that (the aqua im dealing with at least) he meant that I perceive him as cooler. It's more of "don't expect me to be this fun and flirty all the time, I got moods, don't lash on me once I show different behavior" I think they just don't want people to put expectations on them because that what ruin most of aquas relationships.
I've learnt to not think too much and analyze their words and just take it as it is. (which isn't proven by the deep analyzing ive just made^ )
Makes sense. I don't even know if I like him I just thought it was funny he turned my simple "excited to hangout" into that and then now is so slow to make plans.
haha this is very true especially of myself. i know if some one sees my fun side that is pretty much all they will want and its almost impossible to for me sustain it for extended periods of time.
our "bad" withdrawn and aloof side is hard to deal with and will push damn near anybody out of the door

That makes total sense actually. I just like to get to the whole "get to know you stuff" quickly so I can decide if it's a match or not. I hate all the lagging and game playing before that point. I just want to be like look dick head, let's have a drink and see if we ever want to see each other's stupid faces again. If not, we only wasted 45 minutes and no stupid cat and mouse text message games.

Yeah, that what I meant by Heaven and it's something like Paradise earth or world or land or something for believers. I assume non believers (non-JW) go to hell or just rot in the Earth (nothing for them).

Gah!! Must get you addicted! This was a shoot they did at DragonCon, but wore the same costumes to SLCCC. She made both costumes.
