I just don't know how to approach the situation. We will see each other regularly over the summer if he's hanging out with my friends, that's evident. So we're going to have to be civil otherwise it will be really awkward... but if he's still angry at me, it's gonna make it pretty fuckin hard.

No. Look at Tibetan Buddhists. Or Quakers and the Amish. All are highly religious and vow against doing violence, even in the face of direct attack. Also in the case of Tibetans, they are on the brink of religious extinction by China and still don't fight back.
Even Buddhist have their limits when faced with extinction

Using non violence, which is why I gave them as an example.
While to be fair, not all Buddhists are pacifists, which again is why I specifically mentioned Tibetan.

I agree and that's why I'm not taking any of it seriously at all.
HOWEVER, I was just doing some work from home and my WiFi went out so I texted him (he lives by me) to see if I could use his cus I knew he would be home and I went over there real quick and I was working in his living room for a bit and he came at sat by me on the couch and I said sorry am I crowding you with all my stuff and he said and I quote "no...I wish you were closer, I kinda want to hold you."
WHAT. Not only did he say something somewhat sweet, but it was also really fucking intimate sounding. Nothing happened for the record.
He's 31. Mature in some ways, immature in others just like the rest of us.

i'd not take a man seriously if he had roving eye when we were out together as a couple. and i'm a Capricorn. i'd take it as lack of care, attraction and respect. i certainly do not do that myself.
