Maybe he thinks he owes it to her to stay with her. I will give you an example..My brother and his girlfriend never had a solid relationship. He cheated on her so many times but she has always been there for him..through thick and thin..Recently he went through a really bad patch and again she was there for him..He feels now that he owes it to her to stay with her..but I know once this bad patch is over..he'll go astray again..So in this situation I think the reason he wanted to still continue seeing you was because he may owe his girlfriend a lot, but he certainly doesn't have many feelings for her..I don't want to raise your hopes or anything..just giving an example..

I wouldn't beat yourself up about this..You weren't to know..how can we ever know..We only have our own judgements to go by and obviously what the other person tells us..And believe me Scorps can be pretty damn convincing when they want to be..At least he told you..I know that doesn't help much at this moment in time..
