Maybe you should change your approach?
They aren't that open.
They probably could sense that you aren't what they're looking for because they're intuitive and trust their instincts.
Maybe you came on too strong or asked too many questions?

Yeah was strong with one.
Told him to make me brunch. Asked him if I need to tell him what I wanted or if he was going to surprise me. He said surprise me. I told him my preferred menu options anyway.
