I work in probation as a house arrest monitor. If you have any questions about how house arrest works I can tell you. And if you have any questions about drug tests and maybe even some about probation officers, I can probably answer.
Currently I'm working in the warehouse industry in a Supervisory capacity. However in a past life, I was a Photo Journalist covering Public Safety in the San Francisco Bay Area for nearly a decade. Whether it was Accidents, Crime Scenes, Fires, or Hostage Situations, I was usually one of the first on scene with my camera getting the story as it unfolded. Unfortunately, there came a time when I started to become disillusioned with the News industry in general and decided to part ways. I am in the process of making a comeback though and a lot of the money I earn from the current job is going toward launching my own News company. After all if you want something done right, gotta do it yourself.
I've only done that once, but it was with some dude that I had very little interaction with (through a dating app), and when I met up with him, he was NOT what I expected. I had no physical attraction towards him like I thought I would (pics were deceiving), and he tried to kiss me on the first "date"! I realize that rejecting him due to his looks may seem shallow, but I just can't be with somebody that I am not physically drawn to.
All communication thereafter was not responded to, he even found me on Facebook somehow and messaged me. I know now that it was the wrong and immature thing to do, but that was years ago, and I realize now (through personal experience), that honesty is better than just disappearing on someone. And truth be told, I REALLY didn't wanna hurt his feelings and tell him the reason why I didn't want to pursue things with him, hence the cut off.
I hope you didn't have too much invested in these chicks, sorry it happened to you. But perhaps like me in my situation, they haven't grown up yet or experienced what it feels like to be on the shitty end of the stick.

Yes, it would be advisable to let him put in the leg work needed. But, there's nothing wrong with outlining where you two stand. That way you won't be standing around waiting and wondering what if.

You need to take him at face value. If he says he isn't into dating at the moment, believe him. Be his friend for now. I also wouldn't look too much into his FaceBook posts. People scroll and like all day long - often without thought, I'm sure.
