Hello All,
This is an update to the situation I had described earlier in my "help understanding a Virgo guy" thread on the Relationships board. I am thankful to those who have shared their experiences and offered advice. It really helped me a lot in analyzing where we stood, and planning how could I get to the happy ending I have been dreaming for months.
After a series of "checking the pulse" actions within the past 2 weeks and getting the right signals in return, I finally took the courage last night and spelled the beans. I texted him and told him about the very first moment that my heart was touched by him. Of course the style I chose was elegant and honest, not mushy. I simply told him where and how I saw his real intelligent, strong but sensitive "self" and decided to get to know him. (Until now, he thought our meeting was just a coincidence but in reality I had arranged it, so I confessed him that) And I thanked him at the end for letting me in to his world. I am almost sure that I will not get any written answer to this. Maybe he will disappear for a while. Because this is a huge thing for him. Until now we were just friends with some staring, smiles and unexplainable acts on both sides, but now I took things to another level.
Dy, branh, other virguys around... Would you please tell me what do you think his reaction would be? What should I expect now? Have I done the right thing? What would you do if you were in his shoes?

Your attitude about this sucks. I agree that giving them change accomplishes nothing, but left to their own devices, they generally have one option, and that is starvation. They are addicts, they are mentally ill, they are just plain lazy. Whatever way you look at it, they're not going to wake up one day and say, "I need a job." Your solution hasn't worked so far and it never will.
"2. The redresser. In politics, there is an informal term called the redresser. These are often militant people who say they hate ideologies, but they honestly just hate the people implementing the idealogies. These people, often found in subcultures like goth and punk tend to beleive they do things so different than the "mainstream". They rant about excluding people or barring people from circles, but what do they do? They exclude and bar peopel from circles. They generally antagonize and judge people who don't do things their way. They are, more of less, EXACTLY what they preach against. These people are known as the "redressers". It is basically, the same ol shit, just in a glossy new package."
I didn't know there was an actual term for this but these people annoy the shit out of me, too. I always referred to them as the non-conformity conformists.

Conditions tend to balance human relationships. But don't tell this to the unconditional love crowd. I think you don't understand the fact that people live today and change tomorrow. Yes you are right, perhaps people try to get your spare change for booze and drugs. But these people are living today just like you and they have needs for today. You can expect them changed tomorrow, not today. I don't know exactly, but I think if we are about to do "anything" about this, we need to make sure they will survive "this" day. Maybe we need an evaluation system where we could divide useful people from non useful people and then judge the ones who are proves to be useless. Maybe there are no such people like "useful" ones among them. But when I see how people can get down so fast without any control over the situation, I think they really need help.
