"Of course you'd go and pull out some bullsh!t quote to try and defend your idiocy. That was anticipated. We are not discussing its tangibility in that sense, Ness."
Oh yes, of course it's a bullshit quote, you were claiming that he didn't think altruism was real, I replied by quoting a sentence in which he clearly refered to altruist people...
Your lack of discerning skills are a bit perplexing miss benefiting-from-affirmative-action.
"Altruism can be defined as helping behavior that does not apparently benefit the helper. Some people argue that we do not know whether or not the helper is benefitting from the act because we do not know his internal state. A person can seemingly receive more harm than good from the act. But let's say a person sees a woman getting mugged and proceeds to flee the scene without providing any assistance. He gets several yards away and turns around to go back and assist her. Is that atruistic? Perhaps not. Perhaps he only helped b/c if he hadn't, he would have carried an overwhelming burden of guilt. In that way, he has benefitted because he does not have to feel guilt. Therefore, his act was not truly altruistic. That is what we mean when we say it doesn't "exist.""
Nice, you somehow managed to miss this-"To clarify, I don't believe in total altruism either, but there is such a thing as a balanced form of altruism, a form that's expressed in the social security policies, etc.
Of course this is meant to eventually benefit the proponents of said social policies."

"Remind me again. WHICH University have YOU attended?"
I don't really understand this response-I posed the question because I did not think that you possess the intellectual capabilities of a university student...your response makes absolutely no sense in this context.

Ok Tightbutt...I'll help out a bit....I've been doing charts for years and have even been paid for it so I say it like I see it. I won't do a full expose on it as I'd go on forever
You have a VERY bad temper for starters!! Your associations with women (I assume you're a dude) will likely be filled with strife and arguments so be careful. Plenty of excitement and energy in your emotional life, for better or worse. You take and give offense easily though so learn to manage your anger and resentment. You are idealistic with regard to getting "proper respect" in general in your life but on the other hand you're very matter of fact, practical and very OK with life's dirtier ways of dealing with problems. Sex may be an issue because your mind has high ideals and morals but if you're a guy you may take action that works against what you really want most. If you're a woman, you'll find yourself attracted to taurus type men who may leave your leo needs unfullfilled unless of course he has points in leo himself. You're a go-getter either way and can accomplish lots once you stop shooting yourself in the foot with temper and hard feelings.

'Wow. So much for being "gifted."'
Well, I'm managing to totally humiliate a student that is several years older than me while using my second language...
'Exactly. LOL!'
Best comeback ever.
Really, it is.
