Depends on their other placements as well. For example, an old friend of mine has her moon in Scorpio and her Sun in Cancer and most of her other placements in Gemini and she was the moodiest and most self-centered person I have ever met. But my best friend has his sun in Libra and moon in Scorpio and all his other signs are pretty well balanced between air/fire and two earth placements, and he is one of the sweetest, funniest, and most caring guys I have ever met. I think his moon gives him more empathy and emotional depth versus if he had more air/fire/earth in his system. But my favorite is type of moon is probably an air moon like myself, or at least a sun air mixed with another sign as their moon. But that is just because I am a talkative person and need someone to bounce ideas off of lol. (I have a gemini rising and aqua moon)

I dont know if IT is dominant but i have capricorn dc, Saturn in 4 house opposite moon in 10 house and Saturn trine dc, moon sextile dc. I do believe life is hard on me.

Actually I found out about her birthdate by coincidence - it was on a piece of paper she had signed that day - I wasn't actively looking for it; likely my TomTom for Virgos was activated, wanting to unravel the mystery of why our eyes were marauding so soon...!
