How does she win? She's happily at peace with herself, he's miserable in his own anger.

Nevertheless, I already took your advice (so, too late
), and it was a good thing. I was proactive and I can't tell ALL here, but I was SO tired of crying everyday and NOT being able to breathe (it has been 2 months since we spoke to one another...that's too long for this situation), that I had to confront him gently and I'm glad I did, because we have made a tiny step in the right direction >>>Friendship (no benefits). I just could not stand not even being friends anymore. So if that is all we ever are, I will accept that. I think he has to take it from here. I will give it some more time now and see if he will work on the relationship or if he has other interests in love matters. Me, I have lots of other work to keep me busy for awhile. Also, he does, too, so if too much time passes again, I will remind him that my heart is still beating for him.

When I was younger, society had me believing (along with the rest of my pals) that the next step in life for me after graduating from college was to get married. I was in my mid 20's. Heck....I did not know what love was...but, I knew what physical attraction was and to me, that was a form of love at that time and with the knowledge that I had. We all know that as we grow and learn, we change our thoughts of love and what it means to us. Love comes in stages just like everything else and when the time for change comes...and it does come we have an opportunity to trust ourselves in making whatever choice needs to be made.
I was married for 18 yrs. I have been single for almost 9 yrs. by choice. How I now see marriage? Commitment is from the heart - not from a ring or document. So many people are in relationships that no longer serve them or the other person but they stay.....why? because, they made a commitment to a ring or document (objects). If the heart was the focus these people in "suffering" relationships would be willing to make changes and grow together enjoying their life experiences and appreciating their growth together. My question would be, where is the focus?
Relationships with others are opportunities for us to grow. We may have many relationships...some may last for a month, a year, a moment or a lifetime. I feel that while in each relationship we need to learn to appreciate that person for showing up for us because without their presence we may not have learned what we needed to learn in order for us to move forward.
I am all for being in a relationship with a commitment from my heart and also allowing myself and the other person freedom to move ahead if we need to, or not. The door is open as we truly do not know what we are to learn and when our lesson has been learned.
I honestly do feel that the concept of "marriage" is beginning to change and rightfully so -

Here it is I am a Scorpio woman who has been going through a little relationship/friendship identity probrlem with the unpredictable Libra. That I have pretty much chalked up to just a friendship. Houstonpeach can vouch for that as we are both on the Libra post.
However.... I have been talking to this Taurus who live in another city, very active in congress affairs, own his own business, vaulanteers for almost every charity possible. So, no, we have not yet met in person. We have emailed eachother pictures and talked on the phone for hours, and Houston. I have known him longer than the Libra since May of this year, but how much can you do when you aren't seeing eachother in person and spending real time with eachother....

Exactly HP, I am not a just jump in the sack kinda girl. I am a pretty picky and have to get to know the person some. Not that I have never had a one-night-stand, lord knows most of us probably have. I had two in my life, which were irrelevant.
