Although your logic in this matter is hard to accept for those in similar situations, i believe it is the best advice I've heard in a long time. No amount of wishful thinking or excuse-making will change the ugly facts. They are what they are and we can only give a person so many chances before we must face those facts, think of ourselves and move on.

Nothing...I try to limit my expectations of people. I simply observe attempting to limit the judgement aspect of a thing.

This part I disagree with. The scorpio's I've observed (including a few on these boards) have passion aplenty. The problem I'm having is that scorpio remember the feeling they have had, not the facts....so the perspective is inacurate, slightly skewed. It is this inacuracy that confuses people ....for example: I hear my scorpio lover say things to me like "You always go out with your friends" or "all you do is come over when your drunk and want to have sex" when in fact these are things that I have done.....ONCE. One time!
And not only that.....but when this is pointed out to them, they see that maybe it's true, but don't change theri view irregaurdless. What they feel is true....the formed opinion remains. In total disregaurd for the truth of the matter. How can one hope to observe depth in a person who is not dealing with reality? they arn't deep, they are wrong. Which is probably the reason for their dificulty in relationships.
However.....i will say this, that when their emotions are not involved....when they are observing someone or something which they are not involved with personally, the perspective is dead on, and instantanious. Quite remarkable to be sure. Very impressive.

If a Scorpio isn't deep, then they have no real defining characteristics that make any sense whatsoever. You cannot throw out this Scorpio-description - deep - sensibly without throwing out the entire understanding of the sign, which is mainly why I think people who don't understand the Scorpio depth don't understand the sign at all.
This is very interesting, and i get a sence of what your talking about, but maybe the depth is just their life, not the workings of their mind....for example: Anna Nicole (not a scorpio) was not a deep person, agreed? However, her life and death definately had depth. Maybe it is just the intesity of a person that drives them forth to experience a rich, deep existance, and not a depth of character that defines them as deep?
