I just found that St Patricks day is celebrated cos of some guy chasing out snakes in Ireland??? and it was recognised as an official holiday in 1903..The event actually happened in 460 or something to that effect..when apparantly snakes weren't even around.. Hmmmmmm..sounds a bit dodgy to me..any old excuse for a knees up..
