It is natural to assume the worst. However, you have to look at the fact that he came to you and asked if you sent the card. If he was dealing with another woman I doubt he would have asked if you sent it. Infact, I doubt he would have brought it up period.
So, if I were you I would take some comfort in that.
If it is his ex girlfriend, there is really nothing you can do about it. Let her be immature and scandalous. You keep yourself calm... She will definitely get hers one of these days, if it is her being disrespectful. Just talk to him openly, and share your concerns when you are ready to talk.
I know it is much easier said than done, but do not allow this to upset you too much.

This concept makes alot of sense, actually; weakness as a strength-turned into a strength, synergizing back and forth throughout one's life. (ying Yang/black-white/glass half-empty, half-full, etc, etc. .. two different sides of the same coin.)

woah. I was actually contemplating the same idea the other day.
Weaknesses:
Indecisiveness-I analyze and contemplate what I want to do, or what should be done and as a result usually settle on the thing or want that is best for me in the end.
Idealistic-I tend to pass up things that aren't perfect and criticize myself internally more than necessary, but as a result I don't waste a lot of time on things that are trivial and I have a strong underlying understanding of what is important and where my convictions lie. When times get tough I don't have to contemplate these things because they have already long been sorted out and I can focus on the now and the details when necessary. Due to the over criticism of myself I tend to excel in whatever it is I choose to do.
Lazyness/procrastination- If I wasn't I would have prematurely gotten myself into a lot of situations without fully understanding them, but because of this I am usually well rested to act decisively and with a lot of drive and enthusiasm when necessary.
Subdued/Lack of emotional intensity- I am able to clearly think through situations that leave most people confused and drained. I am able to recognize the objective right instead of getting caught up in the subjective bullshit.
