I haven't checked the link and I won't but I wanna tell you why I do this and yes I do this, it all depends on the personality of whomever I date. First I want to point out that no one has ever loved me the way I needed and wanted. Maybe because I didn't understand them or vice versa, maybe they were too different and simply couldn't provide what I was looking for. I can not stand lack of attention. Or when they come off too strong and all of a sudden they go cold, when I communicate and they refuse to listen, when I'm too invested and don't receive the same in return. This is the main reason of me starting looking around and paying attention to other people, their posts,photos etc. It doesn't mean I love my guy any less but I'm starting to get extremely frustrated, and most likely I'll be seeking somewhat innocent conversations with other guys, even if it's temporary, I'll flirt only to feel satisfied, I'll lie to myself that I matter for someone and they care about me, I need to feel appreciated and loved and I would do anything literally anything to get it. It all depends what happens next, usually I'm not the one who breaks up but as time passes my partner will notice changes in my behavior, i won't be giving myself fully anymore, I'm gonna start forgetting good morning kisses, smiles, setting up password on my phone and laptop, gradually I get cold and then it's always too late to work on the relationship. But that's just me, I do this because I have a need to be loved see it and feel it.

I have the same belief. It may not be planned, but it's a slippery slope. Sometimes, the transition is so gradual that the person doesn't even realize it's happening.
