In some parts of Europe you live with parents until marriage, or 40-50 (whichever comes sooner).
I see pros and cons in both scenarios.

It's an unhealthy confinement of the youth. In tribal communities when you're 16, they cover you in a type of white paint and kick you out into the wild and if you can survive till the body paint wears off, you're a man. Or they make you slay a lion. Either way it's like I was a boy yesterday, I'm a man today.
Now we have this elongated fucking adolescence period where you ease oh so slowly into independence due to college degrees. Idk..
I'm just venting.

I hear ya man. It's not that I'm ungrateful or dislike them, far from that. Just tired of watching the same scenario around me every day and feel a strong urge to get away, have my own independence. I'm young though, 'till next year I shouldn't even be thinking of getting my own place or I'll have too much going on at once. It could get nasty.
Than again, when I'm left alone for a while I tend to always bring someone in for company purposes/go to them if invited lol! I dun like living alone. 😢
