I didn’t grow up pretty or have the dating experiences my peers did. I didn’t see myself as attractive and tbh I still don’t. But I’ve learned that there is more to life than attention and attraction.
I definitely was not pursued by the boys or the girls.
For a hot second I thought lesbian would be the better option. I would dissect my life, robotic like, and experiment with different approaches to life to see which would give me pain or pleasure.
It did bother me growing up that I wasn’t going on the dates. Hell, I’m still not going on the dates. I turned into the pursuer. That didn’t have good results either. Eventually I stopped focusing on the individual and just decided to have fun exploring and experiencing the world as a collective.
One on One is NOT good for me. Terrible even
But having a collective approach has been life changing. It’s been successfully unreal.
As long as I avoid the temptation to form emotional bonds with people, I am successful. I have to stay focused on the group and not the person.
The trick is to not stay in the “poor me” phase.
