i am confident that most people in civilised society (note c i v i l i s e d) would agree that flying planes into buildings is terrorism , comitted by terrorists. If youre so pro-"them" go and live there instead of praising them from the safety and comfort of Sweden (sorry, Norway!)
Either stand behind out troops, or feel free to stand in front of them !! I dont think theres many people on here that would miss you
Nov_scorp: "You are coming dangerously close to making me assume that you think our soldiers are "baby killing murders"."
You know what they say Nov_scorp, assumptions make an ass of you...I never referred to soldiers being baby killing murderers...and you quoted me..I never actually made that statement..it's best just to ask for clarification if one is not sure.
You have to admit soldiers nowadays are mostly recruited from the deprived areas, lack of real education, no hope in hell of achieving something in life...The army play on this and also offers them all those things so they go for it..little do they know that they are being used as puppets and just basically programmed into killing..why do you think most of them are totally psychotic and mentally screwed by the time they get out of it!...
I have friends in the army too..but they aren't killing machines, they are doing other worthy things such as engineering, humanitarian efforts etc..
Not really but when someone quotes me, I have to set them straight...For the most part I just ignore idiots...This was an awareness campaign not grounds for tyrannical behaviour which some have shown..sad really..lol..
QBONE MY OLD FRIEND HOW IS LIFE IN THE FROZEN NORTH. IT IS DARK HERE A GREAT DEAL NOW SUN COMES UP HA HA NEVER BUT SKY LIGHTENS UP AROUND 9AM IT DARKENS UP AROUND 4 PM AS ALWAYS COLD AND RAIN GOD I LOV ENGLAND.
Always good the hear from you.. Come up here my old friend, I still have scotch bottled and sealed just for you and the captain Norwegian nights are best around the world.
Cybernikes: "So you see Miss Morals, it is in fact know it alls who speak without checking their facts that are most certainly headed nowhere...oh look I think you have already arrived"
Thanks. I shall bear that in mind going forward 🙂 As long as theres you to trail through all the literature and find all the facts..isn't that what virgos are born to do..good job! Hey if they are all recruited from priviliged areas, then great..the army is full of all that have too much money and no sense, therefore easy to program.
Nov_scorp - It's great that your boyfriend is in the army and that he's wealthy but I wasn't referring to your boyfriend, neither was I referring to patriotic American soldiers..I was referring to soldiers in general, that includes ones from Britain, ones from the asian countries everywhere..some actually don't have a choice but to serve. I have however seen many that come back after serving..totally messed up at what they had to do and endure..were they completely stupid, didn't they realise what it entailed? I wish your boyfriend safety first and foremost.
I don't know the ins and outs of the army, never bothered to research it. It doesn't interest me..so all this information is great for the ever growing knowledge base on american patriotism..
Just thought i'd share a letter sent to the EU from a member of our rally..I am surprised he actually got a response.
Gaza reply from a Member of the European Parliament
Dear XX (have to cross his name out),
Thank you for your recent email.
I share your outrage at the recent Israeli attacks on Gaza and am committed to doing my utmost to press for concrete EU action in pursuit of peace and a long term solution to the conflict. I am a member of the European Parliament's delegation with Palestine and hope to visit Gaza in an official capacity over the coming weeks. Greens in the European Parliament secured a vote on the situation in plenary this week and you can view the resolution that was adopted at http://www.europarl.europa.eu/sides/getDoc.do?type=MOTION&reference=P6-RC-2009-0051&language=EN I also attended an emergency Foreign Affairs Committee meeting in the Parliament last week yet, sadly, the Israeli ambassador to the EU simply rehearsed the official line and refused to recognise that the occupation and the siege of Gaza are at the root of the crisis.
I have written urgently to the European Commissioner for External Relations, Commissioner Ferrero Waldner, and the British Foreign Secretary calling for urgent action. I have welcomed their commitment to providing humanitarian aid and calling for a temporary cease fire but stressed that the underlying political problem needs addressing as a matter of urgency. Palestinians do not just need aid - they also need freedom and justice. Moreover, Israel must be held to account for its persistent breaches of international law and the occupation of Palestine must end.
The EU Israel Association Agreement, which defines trading relations, is critical and I argue that the EU should not be encouraging a deeper relationship with the state of Israel whilst the terrible situation of Palestine's Occupied Territories continues, and fundamental human rights remain ignored. I have regularly spoken out in favour of the suspension of the EU-Israel Agreement and you can read my correspondence on this matter at http://www.carolinelucasmep.org.uk/2008/12/31/letters-about-palestine-and-the-middle-east/ I have also consistently and strongly criticised the EU's failure to back up words with decisive action.
Article 2 of the Association Agreement, the so-called human rights clause, calls for both parties to respect human rights and democratic principles. Yet, even before the current attacks on Gaza, even
Article 2 of the Association Agreement, the so-called human rights clause, calls for both parties to respect human rights and democratic principles. Yet, even before the current attacks on Gaza, events on the ground since the Annapolis Conference were deteriorating further, not improving. The daily lives and basic rights of Palestinians has been worsening daily, as settlement construction accelerates furiously through out the West Bank (particularly in and around east Jerusalem) and home demolitions, internal closures and the siege of Gaza continues. The aerial bombardment of the past several days, and now the ground invasion, are adding to an already desperate situation in Gaza.
In December, MEPs decided to postpone a vote related to the upgrade of relations with Israel unless, and until, there is significant action from the Israeli authorities to demonstrate that they are serious about respecting the commitments made in Annapolis towards a comprehensive political settlement, and an end to the humanitarian crisis in the Occupied Territories. However, the Council of Europe (heads of the EU member states) has chosen to try and ignore the Parliament and is forging ahead with a political upgrade. I believe that upgrading relations would only serve as an endorsement Israel's flagrant breaches of human rights and other international law. So, along with almost 300 other people, I co-signed a letter printed in the Guardian, which urges the European Parliament to assert its opposition to an upgrade and calls on the UK to revoke support for any new agreements with Israel. You can read the letter here - http://www.carolinelucasmep.org.uk/2009/01/05/eu-must-hold-israel-to-its-agreements/<BR>
Thank you again for your correspondence. This issue will remain a priority for me. I will continue to challenge the EU Israel Association agreement and speak out against the disproportionate, unjustified and counter productive military attacks being unleashed on Gaza. Both Hamas and the Israeli defence force are responsible for the deaths of civilians - both must stop. We urgently need a binding, internationally-monitored ceasefire, together with a lifting of the siege and the end of rocket attacks. My thoughts are with all those working for peace and with my brothers and sisters in Gaza.
Yours sincerely,
Caroline Lucas, Green MEP.

I saw the video of Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish's loss today - which left me quite unsure of what I should be thinking next. Am ok if any of the adult males are killed in any war from either side anywhere - we fathered all the conflicts and we will have to pay for it. But the children and specifically daughters ?
anyone holding a weapon is called a terrorist Qbone. I would call them militias fighjting for the peopel but the waskhington adminstrarion like to give fancy names to its enemies
the jews fight to stop the rockets droping on there homes you moron. they gave the land to them years ago for peace then they put in the hard liners and what they got is rocket fire every day hamas wants to distroy irseral. If I were a jew I would just kick there sorry ares back to the sea.
