I just hate the double standard of it all. A man can sleep around with anyone with a vagina and it's no big deal but if a woman has more than a few partners in a few months' time she is looked at in a derogatory light even if she is being smart about it and using protection and gets routine testing done, etc and even feels a connection or some type of feelings for the man.
Women enjoy sex just as much as men in most cases and a lot of women nowadays don't want to be tied down right away if at all. So she is expected to stay celibate b/c of this? She can't experience sex with some different men to explore and find out what she really likes and who she really likes without being considered "loose" by people, especially men?
Now I do agree with all of you that said a slut may be someone that interferes in other's relationships or isn't honest about where she's at and why she's doing it..etc. I can't stand homewreckers. If you know a man has a woman (married or not) than I think they are TOTALLY off limits...period and exclamation point!!!! There are more fish in the sea that are NOT attached! Or a woman that does just have sex with anything that moves and has sex with more partners than changing underwear and is devious and unsafe about it especially with multiple partners all the time!
I don't know but I just ABHOR double standards between the sexes even though there is no getting away from it in this world. I am very selective about who I am with but if I do want to have sex with more than one guy that's single over a few months time than I will! I don't really do this only b/c I know me and I know I do tend to develop "feelings or attachments" more when I have sex with someone and then that can complicate things for me. I do tend to be one who leans more towards monogamy because it's more how I am personally wired but I am in no place to judge others and I won't! Now I may not care for their actions especially if they are a homewrecker type woman but otherwise it's just not my place to point fingers b/c I know that there are things I do that others would judge me for and I don't want to be judged by a fellow human.

If a key opens lots of locks, then it's a master key .... but, if a lock is opened by lots of keys, then it's a shitty lock.

Wow.

It amazes me of how many people are living in this world who are unaware that it's perspectives like that is the reason why the world is the way it is.

We are helpless to do anything about the things we see isn't right, and instead of actually realizing that it's this ignorance to it that's the problem .. we hold hatred for it's existence.

Yeah .. the whole world currently is experiencing this very thing .... we just sit back and bitch and say there's nothing to do except sit back and do nothing .. because it is the way it is and there's nothing we can do about it.

@P-Angel, I am not saying I hate any particular person so I guess I should've worded it "I can't stand homewrecking". It is the person's fault who comes in and seduces a person that has a wife/girlfriend just as much as it is the husband/boyfriend's fault for letting it happen. Those are not innocent people when they know the person is attached and I think it is more of their fault especially when they know it's a difficult time the couple may be having and they swoop in. I don't think you would care for that to happen to you in your marriage especially if it was at a time when you nad your husband were going through a rough spot.
I also didn't say that we couldn't try and make a difference in changing the world to not have these double standards but it is still true that we won't change everyone's mind about them and therefore they still will be around. Double standards are not there just because I believe they are there but they actually are there. I can try and talk to someone with those opinions to try and change their mind but we all have different opinions about things and they still may not change their way of thinking.
I know that you have posted very valid points on a number of subjects and I am not holding a grudge against you so I hope you don't keep holding a grudge against me and that this is just not an opportunity to try and get your digs into me. If that's all it is than so be it.

A slut is someone who is sexually promiscuous. While slut is typically used for women, men can be sluts too. Promiscuous does not mean simply having had many partners and it isn't tied to being in an official relationship either.
