There is a drop of truth here. I do believe some men are blind sided by breakups but if we were to be direct it would be considered “bitching and nagging” so it’s really a no-win situation for us. We’re taught not to be too direct about our wants and needs because that makes us high maintenance.

I understand that but just like men, you have to take that risk if this is a person you see a future with. I would say men hate the talk lol. Because most of the time women start with every thing they don't like about us. Making us feel attack. So I suggest talk about what you like in your man first and let him know you have concerns. And if these concerns grow I don't know if I can continue with this relationship.

A friend of a friend, literal stranger to me, was bemoaning the “lack of pussy” in his area. Because apparently he’s “run through” all the women in his small town. And being a low key alcoholic who doesn’t drive and mooching off his ex (living in her converted shed for free) doesn’t give him many options.

Meh. I’m an optimistic pessimist as best.

Staying bitter over a bad experience is an exercise in futility and gives far too much power away to the asshole who hurt you. If all women had this mentality the human race would cease to exist.

Men in my life were never really that cold to me. Or even random men I might have spoke to in a bar or something. The coldest things I've ever encountered were things I personally said or thought secretly. Now that I think about it, I'm really fucked up... The absolute worst older men have said to me doesn't even scratch the surface of what I've thought to myself. I try to keep it to myself though. I've accidentally planted worms, or changed a good person's way of thinking/looking at life simply because I was "venting" Or that is just how I try to justify it.
