Ladies, Have any of you taken or know any brand for good sleeping Pill ? I am not sleeping well and now on the verge, this is my last resort. Not thinking straight, can't remember things, and just plain very tired. Any tips welcome...

Another really peaceful combo is Vistaril + oxy + a lil rum or Vistaril + Xanax.

There's no rebound/hangover the next day and you feel so refreshed when you wake up; like a new life. It feels good maaaaan ?

I personally like those combos better than the Oxy+Xanax

You're like professional bartender or chef. Know exactly what to mix smile

Lmaoooo no! Just someone who likes to see what I can get out of doctorsLaughing ... And also someone with poor coping skills who likes to test limits ??
I tried melatonin and it worked BUT you can have some very vivid, crazy dreams. Only lasted 3 days taking it.

Now I just cut caffeine out earlier in the day and it helps. I have dealt with insomnia for years. Tricks that have helped:

Soak in a super hot bath

Hot tea- caffeine free

Read

Turn all lights and extras off

Phone across room -no temptation to pick it up and surf

No caffeine after 7pm, earlier if that still doesn't work.

Try non addictive sleep aides. Can find at any supermarket/drug store.

Does not sleeping also cause Hair Loss ?

I counted my hair on bathroom floor last night; it's more than 100. This normal ?

It's been few months now and I am getting quite concern.

I'd be more concerned for you mental state that you counted 100 hairs late last night.

How much crack did you smoke?

Start out with Magnesium every night before bed.

If that doesn't work, then go to the doc and get Ambien/Zolpidem (generic)

Last resort Valium/Diazepam (generic)

Go to bed every night at the same time, where possible, even on weekends.

Your welcome;

Dr. Fun4Life.

I found some dodgy looking package which turned out to be circadian/melatonin table prescribed few years back by some doctor.

Took it and was out for 12 hours ( 8pm-8am) Big Grin

OR It could be because last night was 3rd of no sleeping so I might give it another dose to see if it works tonight.

I took something last night, not sure if it works long term yet, will take another one tonight.

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned it yet but Melatonin is a good, more natural less addictive route to try for sleep over the other stuff like benadryl or xanex for sleep.

I found some melatonin tablet from few years back, still new and took it.

Was out for 12 hours.

Though suddenly woke up at 3.15 am.

Will repeat another dose tonight to see it work long term.

Otherwise I think this is paranormal related.

They have tendency to wake me up at dodgy time.

I can sleep standing! ? Just give me the wall to lean on!

For me it's more stress related so I take my herbs and it's calms me down and helps me sleep.

What's the nature of your insomnia?
I love Melatonin... I take it and 20-30mns later I'm out. Just be sure to sleep at least 6 hrs or you will feel a bit hung over.

Thank you all for the helpful advise.

I am giving up now. I took melatonin tablet prescribed by doctor few years back thinking it will work, and

it didn't and have stopped taking it after the 3rd time.

Nothing is giving me stress at the moment and No I am not anxious either.

I exercise regularly and do meditation, eat healthy (sort of) and no drink, no smoke, no crack, no weed, no drugs and where this is heading will be no joy in life soon.

My sleep pattern:

Day 1 : 12 am - 3am (3hr)

Day 2 : 11 pm - 2.30 am (3 hr)

Day 3 : 8 pm - 8 am (still wake up at 3am) (12 hr)

consult a doctor, MD! jfc.
I did few times.
If you're at all interested in this, you might consider taking a diurnal saliva cortisol test. You can buy the kit online from ZRT labs and send it back for results.

Also, the book "Adrenal Fatigue: The 21st Century Stress Syndrome" is really good.

Doctors don't believe it (adrenal fatigue/burnout) exists, because there isn't a disease state with it, and no pharmaceuticals can treat it.

Your sleep pattern suggests to me a disruption of the natural circadian rhythm that determines the wake/sleep cycle.

You may not be under stress as you experience it, but our life style s today just don't support healthy sleep patterns. Your adrenal glands respond and those hormones they produce (cortisol and adrenaline) can really affect more than sleep.

Life style modifications and herbal supports (based on the results of the saliva test) are able to "reset" normal sleep patterns.

I am browsing ZRT Lab website at the moment and am very glad that you recommend it.

They might just have the answer. Last I went to doctor, she said my estrogen level was through the roof and there were few other imbalances on the hormone side as well. I didn't think much of it, thought maybe pms and the doctor didn't seem concerned.

Thank you very much for taking time to respond and explain the situation; it does make sense now.

I will get the book as well

Hey I just wanted to give you and everyone else some tips for getting a better nights rest.

1. sleep with the temperature between 70 to 75 degrees. This is the optimal sleeping temperature.

2. sleep in total darkness

3. sleeping in total silence will get you a better nights sleep, but if youre used to some white noise, it can take some getting used to.

4. caffiene lasts for a different amount of time for different people. Dont drink any caffiene a few hours before bedtime and see if that helps you.

5. Videos like this are designed to help you get a deeper nights sleep (dont watch it unless you want to fall asleep, it might make you sleepy)

6.If im not mistaken, from everything i have read on the subject, you hit your deepest REM sleep at about midnight, but you need to already have been asleep for a few hours to be able to hit that deep REM sleep at midnight. So try and get to bed no later than 10 pm.

7. Install a program called f.lux on your computer. F.lux reduces the blue light that your computer puts out. Blue light is known to mess with circadian rhythm. If you mess with your circadian rhythm, it can disrupt your sleep. From what ive read, blue light from computers can be especially disruptive if you are exposed to it the few hours before you go to bed. There is a similar program for Android smartphones called Twilight. It reduces the blue light that is put out by your cell phone.
