Whats you fave U.S. you've ever been to?
Mine would have to be a tie between San Francisco and San Diego. (Sorry, I can't pick just one!) Can't beat the fresh caught crab on Fisherman's Wharf and topography and sophistification of the first, or the intense waves surrounded by mountains and beautiful boardwalks of the latter!
The top cities I am DYING to visit: Phoenix & Maui/Oahu! I think they speak for themselves! Also would love to see Seattle and Denver/Colorado Springs too!

Colorado is beautiful. It's definately worth seeing!
I love San Francisco. The scenery and food is incredible.
But those that know me know my passion is New Orleans. The food, music, culture, architecture, people, .......I could go on for days. I'm trying to plan a trip for march next year. To me, it IS the coolest and most interesting city in the US. Even Katrina couldn't bring her down!
What makes a city cool?
what makes a person cool?
its the time and the place.
James Dean dead but forever cool,
New York the Waldorf Astoria Hotel old out dated but still cool
Paul Newman old out dated but still cool
Kate Hepburn she was old but still had more class in her little finger than all the would be cool bimbo's running around today such as paris hilton. Not cool a joke.
Cool can be any where at any time consider yourself lucky if you run into it and enjoy it doesn't happen every day.
In colorado do you set in a cafe in Aspen eat your $ 75.00 lunch and watch the people who think they are cool or do you go to Breckenridge go down the steps off the main drag and eat the best hot pasta in the world at rasta pasta? watch that hot sause and don't be suprised if you see a few people who you reconize as cool eating next to you.

I really liked Sante Fe when I visited New Mexico last year. I am dying to go to Seattle though!
Seattle lovvvve the weather and how clean it is and Pikes Market is such a treat. Love to take a boat to San Juan islands and watch the whales swim. One of my favs.
I am with you on San Fran ....nothing like it. I absolutely love Marin County and touring Napa Valley. Nothing like watching the fog come in.
I have yet to venture to New York ......but I already know I would love it there.
Colorado I live here and love being in downtown Denver and Boulder my favorite local cities.

I have to give a shout out to my city, Houston, but the coolest Texas city is hands down Austin.
Other cities that have coolness in my book are Atlanta, Miami, San Francisco, and St. Louis.
I'm visiting Chicago in the next couple of weeks and we're going to NYC in October, so they might be added to this list!
HP - Sorry Houston is not one of my favs Sad .....sooooo humid ....I do read that Houston's economy is one of the few that is actually thriving with the oil boom whic is wonderful. The mexican food is kick ass in Houston yum yum If I was visiting Texas I would choose San Antonio or Austin hands down ....the boardwalk is way cool ....and Austin is like a Boulder in Texas ....N the home of Whole Foods Market my fav
Since typing this over a month ago ......guess what???? I have an opportunity to move to Seattle. OMG ....I read this post and thought wow. on 6/21 it was not even an idea or thought. I am flying out there in a few weeks. ......one other thing I love about Seattle and Colorado .....the organic, healthy life style is TOTALLY what makes my toes curl. I would be so happy to move to Seattle......and be right down the street from a Trader Joe's ....if you ever get a chance gooooo....da best store where you can get all your organic entres and wine. That would make me soooooo happy.
I am going for three reasons 1) I get to help a health club(s) on business development (one that looks right over puget sound....soooo amazing) Wellness and fitness are my passion 2) I am working on a manuscript and working towards getting published, great place for me to write in the local cafe's 3) No one knows me, and I really need a fresh start doing something I love and a change of scenary. My life has been hard the last two years here in Colorado.
When I interviewed with the CEO he asked why I want to move to Seattle. I said "My fondness for coffee, rain, and Paul Allen. LOL

Out of all the cities I've been to... New York just resonates with me. Love it.
