Is it just me that feels like this group gets put down and criticized for everything to do say think, drink or smell.

Or am I Just more sensitive to it because I am a woman, white enough to fit into this group?

I guess I’ve always seen parts of our culture make fun of white people, and maybe that’s normal in a society or system that priorities that group over others.

But I feel like women take a larger brunt of that criticism. Their Uggs, latte’s, candles.

Can someone explain this, expand on it or correct me?

Well we can't criticize white men, too fragile they might go on shooting sprees... oh wait.

Are Basic white bitj and Jewish american princess the same thing?

I have no idea, I've never met one. I've only known Jewish people to be on tv.
All races get put down and oppressed in some way. Welcome to the club.

And women are always second class citizens in the eye of man.

Cleopatra had a good run and so did all the Queen Elizabeth's, but those are small numbers in comparison to the dominance men have all over the world.

We, women in general always take a lot of critics, especially from men.
Then I guess both genders dont like each other becaus I think everything we do is labelled as cliche and you shamed on for seemingly for seemingly toxic behavior social media, hollywood movies, commercials politics. You dont feel like you have the upperhand these days?

As a basic white woman also, I can’t relate to feeling marginalized or discriminated against at all in this way. Ugg boots and pumpkin spice is not harmful in comparison to what other groups/cultures endure

I agree that it doesn't compare to what other groups have endured.

it just feels like a constant stubble dismissal of who these people are or choose to be, over and over again, which feels more accepted in our culture vs if you put a meme on fb dismissing another race/gender's culture.

The whole cancel culture by race in general is dumb. I'm mixed race and can agree to this.

Anything to keep people divided though.

America has become so sensitive, people can't do anything without having some sort of backlash from it.

If America ruled over Rome, the steps and sidewalks would be pulled up do to the labor and who laid the foundation of the buildings 5,000 years ago.

All this cancel culture based on hair style s of women are ridiculous as well.

America just wants shit to complain about at this point, like spoiled children owed the world, without putting in the work for it.

I did and withpit digging further it has probably lots of examples. Its just i was a metalhead in the 90s i still remember the disapproving snobs who i thought were uncool. so new hollywood franchise movies with suddenly more female casts are just preachy and fun ruining. I was brought up with 70s movie who are definetly sexist, its just i know that and if i watch them i dont want to hear that.

Race is a political concept invented by the catholic church in the 16th century to give a pass on otherwise immoral behavior... murder rape enslavement... of people on the basis of otherness and lacking a soul. Wild stuff.

I should add that pumpkin is a plant cultivated by Native (Americas) people. So each time we order that pumpkin spice cold brew latte are we honoring Native invention?

Describing someone as 'basic' for liking something popular has always been pretty funny to me. And my barista puts a lot of effort into that creation, nothing basic about her skill set 😂😂

No, I didn't reply according to what I read on social medias, instead it's from what I hear from my other female friends, relatives, or what I experienced myself. Social medias aren't something to take seriously. I didn't say men are evil, they aren't all bad, BUT when it comes to make female feel inferior or whenever they see a confident woman they do everything they can to put her down.

One exemple I can give you, when I was between 9 and 10 yers old, I always wanted to play soccer with guys, they'd always refuse. I kept coming everyday until they let me, they never did. One day I snapped and shoot at their ball angry and they were like "😦". So whenever we'd play at the break to another game, they were surprised because I was better than them. Because I was a faster runner than them, my team would always win. As I was growing up I noticed a couple of patterns such as this one. I was good at sport, but because men feel entitled they wanted me to feel restricted, yet I would always prove them wrong. Back then the guys from my promo actually started to respect me more.

Emma Watson also experienced a similar thing to me at sports. To you men it might seem like it's nothing, but for us ? it's a big deal.

Oh that is a big deal, nobody wants a child to experience this. I was shunned so I know how that feels. I have a theory. Men tap into their primal instincts during sports. We become a hunter tribe again. So when a girl wants to join we instinctively believe it will totally changes that primal masculine vibe.

Like we are not cool anymore.
I just want the white toe nail trend to go away for the fall and winter.

I think a big reason why white people in general have such issues with race is because there is hardcore resistance to acknowledging the deep and pervasive role that race plays in society to do so is to invite accountability for comforts and privilege that they would rather not acknowledge.

so as a white woman, do I have to put less effort into my life then you as a black man to enjoy my pumpkin spiced latte?

Yeah. In Spain they have something called the black legend and many people there dont even believe conquistadors killed off many natives. They think it was a peaceful colonization and that a negative image was just jealousy mainly from the British and French Empires

Now that is some bullshit. Own up to your history, both good and bad. Not living in mickey mouse fantasyland

I have a primal instincts when it comes to sports, too. It sounds like men feel special, but they truly aren't. Women can beat them up in many fields, yet they still feel like we should surrender because their fragile ego can't stand losing for once ? I say no. Men are cooler when they show respect to women, empower them, let them do their own thing, recognize their strength. I'd go as far saying it's sexy. Smothering us has the total opposite effect.

Personally, I'd never diminish myself for any men, if I feel like I can do it then I can. Either you accept it or go cry in a corner.

I remember being on an all boys soccer team when I was very young, probably 5 or 6. We voted between the names the Cheetahs or the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles—and you can only guess which we became lol. Anyways, I was put as goalie and I can remember falling on the ball and covering it tightly as I was kicked repeatedly by the other team, to see if they could kick me enough to make me let go—they couldn’t hah! I took that shit during a game to prove I could do anything they could ( or was it during practice with my own teammates?!). My real issue was not having most interests on mine growing up available to girls—specifically football and shop class. I went to an all girls Catholic school, I think was very sexist in itself. I felt very marginalized growing up in that environment. Still trying to find my way and what I want to do, missed some opportunities without direction or encouragement.

Race is a political concept invented by the catholic church in the 16th century to give a pass on otherwise immoral behavior... murder rape enslavement... of people on the basis of otherness and lacking a soul. Wild stuff.

Yes race is a social concept....yes it is made up but to act as if the impact of race is fantasy and that the effort needed to reconcile the harm caused by it is a simple matter of saying "okay race is gone now and we don't see it" or some version of that sentiment is to live in a state of delusion either purposefully or ignorantly.

Not doing the hard work of reconciling the harm that racial systems has and continues to do while asking for the people most affected to just not talk about it is totally unproductive and sadly damaging.

rich ppl complaining about petty thing cringe me, this whole thread cringe me. i want to show this thread to someone who born in a poor country who struggle to make 1 $ dollars a day and ask him what his opinion on yt american girl.

Ugg’s, Starbucks, and leggings are so 2014 basic bitch.

2021 is all about avocado toast, smoothie bowls, Xanax, and decor signs that say “good vibes only” and “but first, coffee” “live, laugh, love” or something along those lines.

So guy once told me I looked like the kind of girl that wore scarves and wouldn't explain himself any further. is this what that mutherfucker meant?

Is it just me that feels like this group gets put down and criticized for everything to do say think, drink or smell.

Or am I Just more sensitive to it because I am a woman, white enough to fit into this group?

I guess I’ve always seen parts of our culture make fun of white people, and maybe that’s normal in a society or system that priorities that group over others.

But I feel like women take a larger brunt of that criticism. Their Uggs, latte’s, candles.

Can someone explain this, expand on it or correct me?

Its just basic. I didnt know it was a racial thing. My girl loves all that stuff and she isnt white. Youre mindset is perpetuating division and likely comes from a background of division

See people. Exhibit A

cul·ture: the customs, arts, social institutions, and achievements of a particular nation, people, or other social group.

IDC what race she is, she sounds like she's apart of the BWB culture defined by today's society.

We, women in general always take a lot of critics, especially from men.

From my experience women are far worse on each other then men. Honestly it's a head scratch. It's always stupid shit. Jealous, envy, and being territorial over assumptions rather then actual facts. Rarely do I hear dudes rip on each other other then friend groups.

However it's teasing and warning shots in order to let the other person know they a F'ing up or acting stupid.

Woman though behind the back talking and scheming😏

20s social life can be a real shit show for woman lol
Culture is a learned behavior at it's root. Subject to change at anytime if enough do so.

Then I guess both genders dont like each other becaus I think everything we do is labelled as cliche and you shamed on for seemingly for seemingly toxic behavior social media, hollywood movies, commercials politics. You dont feel like you have the upperhand these days?

Men are harsher when it comes to critics about our physical aspect, and that's a fact. Don't even go as far as saying we have the upper hand whereas you men are paid more than us. Now, I'm not saying all men are like that, but the majority is.

I think you are right, but it's just if you use any media att all you cant help but think we are evil pos in general. The current zeitgeist is more pro woman than it was before.

No, I didn't reply according to what I read on social medias, instead it's from what I hear from my other female friends, relatives, or what I experienced myself. Social medias aren't something to take seriously.I didn't say men are evil, they aren't all bad, BUT when it comes to make female feel inferior or whenever they see a confident woman they do everything they can to put her down.

Yes. It’s true!

Men are very dumb. Most of them are anyway. I don’t think I want to be in a relationship with one either. I’d rather be with a woman next time around.

Hell do I want with a weakling in my life. Most men are weak and I easily lose respect for most of them.

They aren't all bad, some are nice, but for the most part ? yes they are.

I feel sad everytime I hear a woman says she's scared to go out alone at night because a man might harrass/harm her. I believe, when it comes to those things we all feel the same. It's hard to be a woman in this world.

Thankfully i live amongst some good kind men. The males in my family are genuine people, including my extended family.

I’m grateful for them and Ive started to honour the differences

Lol really only he knows. If I'm you I'd choose to believe he means your fall fashionista lmao.

Peoples opinions of you are their business not yours.
This thread is everything I expected.

Do you remember that early to mid 2000s book: “stuff white people like”?

Think that has some relevance to the topic

Well we can't criticize white men, too fragile they might go on shooting sprees... oh wait.
My best friend is exactly like this. Minus the shooting spree hopefully. Just seems he needs to add the fact white men can't do or say anything anymore, or that everyone is against him. He doesn't believe in white privilege either. I'm pretty neutral in most cases, but have to grit my teeth sometimes. I do believe it's healthy for people to vent, but fuck. Men shouldn't be phased by the a small amount of people who speak loudly, but carry no power. I don't understand why society bothers him so bad.
