That’s it’s exactly what it is. Corny, on the nose, over dramatic acting but wooden at the same time. So bad it’s good.

Lol, okay I'll give it a go. I like to watch people acting the fool.

Just passing through, so I'll have to come back to watch the vid you posted. I'm notorious for being 50 years too late to something though, so I apologize in advance. You can always make your own thread too.
Posted by Aliensusedourbogroll

Will you ever do Passions? I’m rewatching on YouTube.
I might even tho Passions is ridiculous lol

I gotta finish some 80s soaps first, but since half the shows i started have been messed with on youtube maybe ill get to 90s soaps quicker
Posted by Aliensusedourbogroll

@PhoenixRising

Not the best quality but will do.

LOL! Yoooooo what's was up with the apparition? Wtf lol....

Interestingly weird is definitely one way to describe!

This show is unreal. It’s ridiculous to the point that it drove me mental trying to figure out if the show is self aware or not.

Nina is in positive spirits as she chats with Rex. Paul, who is now in jail, gets a visitor trying to help him. Katherine sets up a party for Nina and Phillip. Did Phillip fall off the wagon and start drinking again? Will Paul be able to come up with a hefty bail?

*like*

Why on earth is Paul still staying tightlipped about his relationship with Cassandra....? Smh.

LMAO off at Clint trying to flirt with Katherine. Like dude....

And so much for the "Anonymous" part of AA. This guy didn't know for a fact that Nina was aware of Phillip's past. And did Nina really ask if an alcoholic taking a few drinks is terrible?

User Submitted Image

Especially, since she goes from asking that question to making a big deal about it moments later...

And who randomly gets someone an answering machine? I guess that was the 80's version of a cell phone with a preinstalled "find me" app.

They do a good job of keeping Nina just dumb and annoying enough where you question if Jill is right about the dumb broad and should still keep going to extremes to break her and phillip up lol

I was thinking the same thing.

Lauren comes up huge for Paul. Paul's father tries to help his son. Jack and Jill argue about work until John and Ashley intervene. Paul goes to Nikki about what Victor has told the police about him. Does Victor have David in his pocket? Can Victor get his revenge on Jack by taking advantage of Jabot trying to go public?

*like*

Love that Carl Williams is a "walk or die" kind of dad.

Did Nikki really think Paul would tell her he did kill George? What was the point of even asking?

Decent filler epi, especially the last 10 seconds lol...

Katherine is worried about Phillip. Jill & Jack taunt each over other business and personal relations. Brad whines to Ashley about Tracy. Is there any getting through to Phillip who is in denial about being an alcoholic?

*like*

Well, damn so much for Nina keeping things to herself.
Posted by AfternoonDelights22

*Big story point we missed: Phillip, driving drunk, crashed his sports car and was killed.*

Kind of disappointed I missed that, but kind of glad to skip the melodrama....

Paul has news of on the murder investigation for Cassandra. Christine tries to brighten Nina's spirits after Phillip's death with a night out. Danny has a concert dedicated to Phillip. Derek tries to get close to Christine, but wonders how close she is to Danny. Are turns in the George case bringing Paul and Cassandra closer again? Laurean is convinced Cassandra was involved with George's murder.

It's been a month. How the hell can Cricket think going out is the best way for Nina to move on after losing the so called "love of her life"? Based on Nina's demeanour, seems like it worked though, so.....

Cricket reminds me of one of my friends that's a Bull. She's the first one to use "going out to party" as a way to deal with everything.

"I just broke up with ______"

"So then you're free to go out tonight right? Sweet!"

"F*ck I definitely bombed that exam..."

"So, then you don't need to study......we could go to JJ's house party...." smh lol.

Paul's not using all of the good sense he was blessed with. Cassandra is up to something, because how does she switch from not believing him to a passionate kiss in 2 seconds. Dude. Ever heard of "keep your friends close and your enemies closer"? Even if she wasn't up to something, the mere fact that she doubted him should be enough for him to keep it pushing. He needs to go back to jail just because I'm annoyed by his lack of sense right now.

Maybe this is why he becomes a better detective. Eventually. Nothing wises you up better then being f*cked over by someone you trust I guess.

Im not enjoying this Paul story lol. I hope theyre getting ready to wrap it up cuz its making a lot of characters look stupid and its very convoluted, but stories on Y&R go on forever lol. Maybe your latter statement is right tho and its makes Paul better at his job.

OMG Yes! It never made sense to me why they will stretch out a storyline and then go lightening speed with another...

April '89

Paul is suspected of killing George....

Phillip hates Nina, falls in love with her, marries her *honeymoon*, Nina makes nice with Katherine, welcomed into the home, Nina signs a post-nup, Phillips resumes his drinking, dies, they bury him and Nina's dating again...

Victor marries Leanna, finds out she's the author of Ruthless, kicks her to the curb, makes moves to take over a whole company...

June '89

Paul is arrested and now figures out George may have had an accomplice. Like Jesssus.

Lauren is better at his job than he is at this point.

lmao it is funny how Lauren's snooping is 10 times more successful then anything paul has done this year of the show

Conclusions continue to be drawn about Cassandra. Jill and Katherine bicker about Nina and the baby. Jill is upset that Nina went to the concert while the baby was left somewhere. Nina has unearthed money because of Phillip's life insurance.

*like*

Lol @Katherine's expression when Jill was ranting about the inheritance.

Only on Y&R does a man hiring his own killer make more sense than a jealous boyfriend or bored housewife killing him.

Cricket and Scott's dynamic is still gross. Even as siblings.

Sweetheart? Paul's really back on that crazy train?

User Submitted Image

The fact that Paul can't see how manipulative Cassandra is. Where the hell is Lauren when you need her?

Victoria was left a dollar for her tooth? Didn't Leanna offer her up $ 5 to go to bed early and the Newmans can only come up with a $ 1 from the tooth fairy? I shouldn't talk, I really have no idea what the going rate is for a tooth.

This. I can't with Paul.
June 30 1989

Nina takes Christine to the hospital. Lauren and Scott continue to get to know each other. Cassandra is not budging.

July 3 1989

Christine is comforted and questioned. Scott is lookin for a confrontation. Lauren and Brad bicker. Tracy is in for a surprise...

Brittany and Cassandra both play games with each other and Paul, and vice versa (this Paul/Cassandra story is a convoluted mess.) Rex helps Katherine grieve the loss of Phillip. Tracy continues to block Brad out.

*like*

LOL @ convoluted mess. Pretty much sums up this whole episode. And LMAO @ the verbal b*tch slap Cassandra tried to give Paul. How this man can't see past her manipulative controlling a** is beyond me.

And just when you thought Cassandra was well out of pocket for questioning Paul's intelligence, he compliments Lynn on her blouse and asks Lynn if she wore it into work that morning...

User Submitted Image

I guess Paul thinks Lynn has a whole wardrobe stashed in the top drawer of her desk, because...

OMG and Brad's Fabio "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" shirt lol. #Another80sFashionWin

Victor keeps getting dragged into the investigation of Paul. Victor then gets close to Cassandra. Jill blames Katherine and Nina for Phillip's death. Christine has a date that goes very very badly...and turns violent...

That was disturbing to see. I'm glad they addressed an issue like sexual assault though...

Yeah I agree.

I will say tho that Soap operas way overuse rape as a trope tho :/

Jack is not good at comforting Jill. Jack thinks he has a plan to stick around after Victors takeover of Jabot. Jill meets with Victor to discuss the acquisition. Christine has been attacked. Will she be able to tell Nina about the rape?

*like*

What a sociopath. "Outrage Virgin Complex".... And how Cricket found the restraint to not pick up a knife and stab the sh*t out of this assh*le and stuff his severed d*ck down his throat is beyond me. Then I would eat dinner while I wait for my crew to come over to remove the body.

Man, I feel really bad for her even if she is a fictional character....

And Nina with the stupid questions again..."are you hurt?"

User Submitted Image

At least she knew enough to tell Cricket to go to the hospital without showering or changing her clothes.

Jack is delusional lol.

Jill's a snake lol.

How I wish I saw the epi when they first found out Victor acquired Jabot. I can just picture the look on Jack's face.

*like*

Ahhhh the budding romance of Lauren and Scott. They actually made the best match eventually paired with one of the best villains of all times.

Despite the weirdness between Cricket and Scott the scene was touching.

Carl is so much smoother than Paul when it comes to sleuthing. Just when you think he's going to leave as asked to do he goes in for round two and Cassandra falls for it.
