@Balmy: if they're suffering underneath the surface why inflict that on others? At that point its about your ego because you feel someone should suffer with you instead of doing what you need to do to get healed. It's simple consideration for others. Regardless of how you feel, it's about doing what's right and we all instinctively know what that is.

@Balmy: yes we're supposed to help but you're confusing saying that someone got what they deserved as condemning and its not that. It's why you help them to try to prevent the bad karma from taking place. But when I said you can get negative positive I meant that by being positive to the point that you enable bad behavior. Even by being indifferent in the face if such behavior can produce negative results for you. Indifference is just another word for not caring. The difference is when you act and that takes wisdom and judgement. Just because one does not act doesn't mean they don't care. They may simply know that its not time to act.

...and I'm not claiming to be perfect :-) I do stupid stuff all the time and hope that others would point out (gently) when I do wrong. None of us can see clearly.

The problem is that some people equate compassion with stupidity or weakness, and choose to exploit those who offer it to them, triggering more negativity and problems.
These people tend to do a whole lot of damage to a whole lot of people.

It's cool and I understand. It's just a discussion to me

. It's not like I'm jumping for joy because as a Sag I see the big picture. While I know that the person will be repaid at some point, more than likely someone else will get hurt. When I say I'm not saddened, I mean that I've accepted that it will happen and that is what has taken place. It's to be expected.
